The past week has been busy with test prep and parent/teacher conferences. It's good to have a couple days to recover. Maybe I won't grade papers until Saturday night.

Al - what great chick pictures. I'd love to have some of the Cornish chicks. They're on my wants/needs list.

Hope it doesn't rain too much tomorrow. I've got some teens who need to move out of the barn this weekend. They're fully feathered and complaining about all the noise from the brooders. I've got another hatch expected Monday or Tuesday. It's mostly Barnevelders, but I've also got some Cinnamon Queens looking active in the shell. I hope they do well.

Hi Fellow Okies!! Currently Oklahoma City does not allow chicken keeping in city limits if you own land that is less than one acre. Many of you may already know that there is a grass roots effort to legalize chicken ownership in the city. For anyone who doesn't know about this, here is a link to a form you can "vote" on a survey on chicken ownership in Oklahoma City. It takes less than a minute!

Come on Al that was all the fun getting up and trying to shake the kinks out after attempting to sleep on the board bed. LOL By the way they have placed new mattresses in the cabins since last year.

I want to know what I bring someone is interested in or wants to buy. I also want to know what I plan to buy & how much money I need to bring with me. Not knowing what someone will ask for a bird or a pair of birds makes it where I don't know anything. I don't even know what on the list is for sale or auction. Just not my thing.

For instance if I bring 10 birds because that is all I have room to haul & they don't sale then I have no room to bring anything home.
