Our whole family ended up with the sinus Crud...

We still had our auction, although we didnt want to get out of the bed ourselves. I guess thats what happens when you have a kid that is school age in the house. I have never been so sick all my life. Out of the last 4 months, I have had the sinus crud about 2 1/2 months out of the 4 months.

Yes about two weeks now. She is better but I can not put her in with the rest yet. They seem to pick on her and she does not roost
at all. The nice roo that I thought was a hen (show-girl) even seems to rough. So she is haapy to be in the brooder with the babys.
I carry her out side and AnnaBell walks her. Its all a pain in the butt, and if she has a medical problem I feel like crap not doing anything
about it. She is to kind to cull.... So I guess I may let AnnaBell buy her a diaper and let her take her to the park in a stroller.... Walk her..
name her.... Does this just sound weird to you all?
Poops is coming!!

Sometimes it takes months of treatment if it is wryneck- i have a little silky roo, when i got him could barely walk, he still has problems walking, but he is such a fighter i refuse to put him down. He seems to get leg cramps, but can get around- no its not crazy to have her a pet- and maybe she is good with the little ones in the brooder- a surrogate- my theory is if they aren't in pain, they will be given every chance-

Thanks for the reply Robin... She is going to stay for sure and I have new hope now for her to get back in shape.

Will you be taking I40 on your way from Amarillo? If so, you will be passing by my house and I could chick-sit for you while you visit.

How many times do you have to show a grown adult, how to load a dishwasher before they catch on?????

Plates, bowls and utensils on bottom. Cups and saucers go on top....

Sorry about the rant!

Ha! Sorry, but the real question is probably "how many times must said 'grown adult' prove that he/she is not interested in how the dishwasher is loaded before you learn to just do it yourself?" Sounds like the old tried & true "if I never do it right, he/she will quit asking me" trick to me!

I only had 5 out of 10 hatch. Today is only day 22, so there is still time. The humidity jumped to 91 today, so I quickly pulled the chicks out and put them in a box and cleaned up the empty shells. It is too cold for them to go in my brooder because it is outside. I figure they can stay in a cardboard box for a while. I may have to find a bigger box if more hatch. Lord knows I have a bunch empty with all the packing I'm not doing. Currently they are in the box that the new portable radio came in. It is okay for 5 newly hatched chicks, but any more than that and I will have to get something else. I have two 6x2x2 brooders sitting in a friend's barn, but I don't wanna move them until we get in the new house. I have one just like it in the teenager's coop. I currently houses 4 two-week old RIR pullets, a two-week old Silkie, and a one-week old Frizzled Cochin. I don't wanna mix the new RIR chicks with the pullets because the pullets are staying and the chicks aren't.
