We have three roos, 2 black Australorps and a mixed EE. Those were bought for a "teaching aid" my dogs went to the neighbors and helped them get rid of their chickens....that was a costly mistake for them, but we made good friends with the neighbors because of it....anyway, we got the roos to be around my dogs and teach them chickens are not for them to eat....I think the training is working, but not enough to turn the dogs out yet.
The guineas were bought as keets in FEB, when old enough they'll be free range to help with the tick/bug here in the woods....
