gots me a question bator experts

I got an older bator...it is round maybe 18 or 24 inch diameter...anyways...reading the distructions it says for best results go with a tempo of 103! What is up with that? Should I risk it and go with it or go with a normal temp? I know...I have enough other bators but it is round and cool and reminds meof the one my dad had. But I gotta hand rotate...not sure if i wanna do that...I don't know...should I bring it to POOPs?

If you put quail eggs in it, you could rotate by rolling your hand across them a couple times each day. Sounds like the old incubators sold by Sears and Montgomery Wards.

Exactly the kind I am talking about...

but why the 103 temp??

Let the record reflect that I gave my bidder card to Al - who located and bid upon all your birds.

All I did was take them home and feed them for you.

P&B - really now...I would go with that we have forgotten more than we have discovered! Don't forget who built the pyramids in Egypt and South America!! We won't even bring up Stonehenge

No matter where it is, there is the same amount of work. It is held in OKC because that is central to everyone.

Sooner slinking off to the corner to shut up now.

I know that the Egyptians and the Chinese have been hatching eggs in incubators for thousands of years, but did they have thermometers to know the correct temperature for the eggs?

this is a question for more experienced incubator people than myself - folks who actually get their eggs to hatch on a consistent basis.
