Yes we could certainly use any canopy's and tables, these are always in short supply at our events. Yes I do think we may get wet for the first time, the last few events we got lucky and the weather was fabulous.

hi coral- we are gonna be pretty loaded, how much room do you need for them? not sure if we can squeeze them in- i'm going to have some notecard packs available for sale as well as some in the donation auction-

al- dave suggested we go ahead and get a canopy, rather than just a tarp- our table should be big enough to share if anyone want to - so are they forcasting rain?

Good Morning Okies :

I would like to start out the day by giving a shout out and a big pat on the back to all of those who help make this years event a truely spectacular event. These folks have been working so hard these past few months and give tirelessly of their time and efforts. This is the kind of work that is really required to host and make it successful.

Monty : For helping with the meat and making the KOA arrangements, without these no event is possible, and for the many numerous things he does. Thanks Monty.

Carah/ Sooner : For taking the riens on the food and dining facilities, and for making the fine center pieces and single handedly taking care of the T-Shirts again this year. You are truely indepensible part of POOPS. Thanks Carah.

Marybeth/Poultryandbees : For whipping into shape all of the displays and for bringing anything she thinks we may need, what a gal this one is, Thanks Marybeth.

Beth/Cityclucks : For handling all of our clerical needs and postings and tracking all of the numerous list needed to keep folks informed, and for the name tags and guest sign-in table without which we would just be walking around without a clue who anybody is. Thanks Beth.

Donna/Luvz2bememaw : For gathering the support and folks to put together a fine show of entertainment, and doing what she does best getting everybody to smile and look forward to POOPS. Thanks Donna.

Rebecca/Muesky : For helping with the childrens activities and making the little ones feel like a big part of our gathering. Thanks Rebecca.

Grace/Gracefulbantams : For taking charge of the raffle again this year, we have allot of really nice stuff due to her efforts. Thanks Grace.

And to personally thank those of our upstanding members who go above and beyond to offer to help in a big way in any way where they are needed.
Carla & Gerald, Michael D, Peaches & Doc, Big Q & Carolyn, Wayne doodle, Teach, Eulain & Bill, smfamf.

All of these folks should be heralded for their tireless efforts without which we couldn't have such a great gathering. I cannot say enough on their behalf as these events are not very easy to organize and can be at times a logistical nightmare and they just keep plugging away solving problems and fading heat in the best intrest of the Okies in the BYC, So once again I want to extend my hand in a special thanks to all of you for yet another job very well done !!!!!!!!! .

And finally to all of our fine members who come to OKC and bring birds, food, hatch chicks just for this, helping set up and clean up, and pretty much show their support for our group by arriving with a smile and a handshake, My thanks to all of you.

Morning Al....sure glad to see you on here in the mornings. That says that you have slowed down a bit. I wish I could say the same...I think I've taken over your place for the week. I was up until 1:00 putting strawberries in the freezer. And today we're taking 60 kids on a field trip. Oh man...they better be on their best behavior...I'm one tired chick.

Did you get my message?

Morning Okies...

I think I might have the grandbaby for a little bit today.... I better have her, Ive begged enough..lol

If I dont, then I get to clean out the brooders and start sorting chicks. I will have a whole mess of chicks to bring to POOPS!

Good morning all. My plans for the day include laundry, vacuuming, and cleaning the hatcher. It all needs done because the baby will be here this afternoon and she has decided to start trying to crawl. I have to make sure the floors are extra clean now. I may run over the living room with the steam cleaner, but we will have to see how much time I have before she gets here. I wish I had some time to go outside today. It looks like the sun is gonna shine.

If someone is needing Ivermectin pour on for deworming your chickens, I am going to have quite a bit of extra as the dear wife bought a large container. I have opened it. Still a year to expiration date and I am only going to use a fraction of it. If traveling along Spencer Road in the Spencer area, I am there and need to contact me before you arrive. No cost to you.

Mornin' Yall,

I've got some questions about the upcoming POOPS (I'm so excited!!!

)

is this a outside event? In case of rain what do we do?
so it starts at 9:00ish, and we eat at 1:00ish and the auction is around 2:30is, then entertainment after? is that right?
how long can chicksn stay in a cage while my daughter and I socialize? I'll be bringing an older live animal trap cage and a wire dog kennel cage, so hopefully they'll be enough room for 10 or so birds.
'Cause I'll be looking for 8-9 week old chicks (how old are they when the are referred to as pullets?) will there be birds of all ages?
Does anyone have pics from last year?

thanks.... oh and .... I'M SO EXCITED!
