Another great time was had by all who attended the POOPS get together today. It got to be funny when someone would say "talk to the lady in the green shirt" and you would look to see and realize there were a lot of green shirts there today.
It was nice to put some more faces with screen names and see some folks we don't get to see very often. There were some really tired folks this evening, but we had a good time.
to Monty for smoking a lot of delicious meat and coordinating use of the KOA facilities
to Al for coordinating the event and making assignments to everyone who "volunteered" and for the "contingency plans in case of rain" and for . . . . .
to Sooner for organizing the food and T-shirts
to CityClucks for organizing the name badges
to Luvs2bemema for organizing the entertainment
to Doc Holiday and his entourage for being everywhere when needed and having all kinds of great ideas and equipment and . . . .
to Teach for bringing all kinds of cool peacocks and other birds to sell and for being such a good sport
to Doc Henry for bringing a circus tent (pretty cool looking)
to Shavon for keeping the running list of birds and equipment that would be available for the auction and the "wish list"
to Grace for organizing the raffle items - I think most of us really liked the way we could put our tickets into a bag that corresponded to something we were interested in acquiring
to Grace for graduating from High School and allowing us to participate in her graduation ceremony
to everyone who brought food, helped set up, helped clean up, helped with the auction, brought raffle items, donated auction items for the event fund and bought things at the auction or bought raffle tickets, participated in the entertainment, and who attended and/or wished us well.
to all the kids who attended, particularly to those who played with and entertained the younger children.
