We have a Dodge 4x4 3500 diesel as well. You are certainly correct about blind spots. Hubby has tried to change lanes at fortunately low speeds and didn't see the car in the blind spot of the lane next to him. I backed into a vehicle once that was small and directly behind me at a toll gate. I could hear something honking and stopped a couple of times, but didn't see the vehicle that I tapped until I was even with the bed of the pickup truck - when I got out to look and see what the "bump" had been into.
