One of my buddies wives caught a wolf spider with babies on it and wanted to know what it was...well before I knew what was happening she had me pinned and all I could do was wimper and cry for my mommy...yup I am manly!

What do ya do??? Bill came in yesterday morning and told
me that Puff is wanting to set really bad and was sitting out
there in her and Pretty Boy's pen, tending a "rock". He just now
came in and laughed and said, "She's got four more rocks
gathered up." LOL She's not going to town until fall, so
we're going to give her six or seven EE eggs and make her
day.....LOL We've swiped all of her eggs and have them in
the bator. She's a really nice white cochin bantam hen, and
has, obviously, decided that it's time.

BuckGuy - at this point, we're planning to come to Poops,
but with the Pa-Pa's traction treatments, and getting all new
tires on the 5th wheel, I haven't made our reservations yet.
Hopefully soon.

Speaking of.....how many EE chicks would anybody want?
He just put 6 dozen more in the bator............... Co-op here
has always bought anything that he hatched, but they sure
don't want to pay much for them.......... Would rather trade
them at Poops than give them to co-op.............

Have a good one !

Here is the updated update of what's going on here at GB Farm

Isn't it cool how chickens will go to roost by themselves once they know where to go? I alos like the way the go to bed when they decide the light is dim enough that they should go into the trees or into the hen house.

yes it is so cool and they are still doing good so far havent lost any to hawks ect... the river is right behind our house so we have all kinds of animals around here!

Kinda an emergency - We have a young Old English Hen
that is egg bound - we have inserted warmed mineral oil
as far as we possibly can. Bill says the egg is past her
hip joints, but we're not getting anywhere.....Help quick,
if you have any suggestions.........

Thanks,
