I am in central OK and I want to buy two silkies - I am wanting them between 6 months and a year or there about I might also consider chicks. I was hoping to find a buff and another of a different color but am willing to consider any that are available - am near Norman. Any leads or offers would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

I have an eBay auction for 6 bourbon red turkey eggs going tonight ... anybody interested?

Glad you posted this info. The inspector guy was supposed
to have them send Bill all the info, etc....but has only been a
week, so..... and, I figure your Marie probably knows a lot
more about the particulars than the guys out in the field...LOL
So, better give her a call.

We've talked about taking a couple extra days to spend
around OKC before or after he goes for the class. Guess I've
had chickens in the 5th wheel before (Shawnee).....LOL
Will pick out a couple of "small, quiet" ones...LOL

Sure wish we could get some of that rain, too.

Have a good one !

Ok got a problem, gave this horse ranch our pony and they said they would keep the horse at there ranch, well come to find out they sent the horse to Kansas. Well to make a long story short I had promised my grandson that I would take him there to play with this horse next friday while I have him for spring break.................well cant do that and she wants to charge me 40 bucks for an hr, I dont even know if he will get up on the horse. Ok she wont be here during spring break. So was wondering if anyone in central OK maybe had a pair of rabbits. He was wanting rabbits at the last auction we went to. Thought maybe just maybe I could get him a boy and girl (unrelated) rabbits. Meat rabbits that is. I am going to have to kiss some major butt to get out of this promise I can not keep. HELP!!!!!!!!!

Teach - I have some young Flemish x mutts that should get fairly big, judging by their bone structure. I may not be able to get my Flemish does to breed successfully, but the Flemish bucks haven't had the same problem.

If he isn't particular about color, I have a white with gold spotted doe and some dark sandy colored bunnies (sorry, haven't checked to see if they are wearing blue or pink ribbons) that I would sell for $15 each. They were born in December, so they are still growing.

I am betting that will work! Will get back with you.

Okay here's the latest:
I HATCHED A CHICK!!!!
jumpy.gif
It is a little Hamburg, and was completely hatched out by the time I found it! When I was moving the eggs from the Hova-Bator with a turner into the Little Giant (the hatcher), one egg was a bit stuck. I did not want to risk breaking a developing egg, so I just left it in the turner and pretty much forgot about it

.... Well this "fluke accident" turned out to be a "God thing", because that Hova-Bator held it's temperature better than the LG during the power outage, and now I have a chick to show for it

Now.... here goes my long post

Sherri and all you people that were coming to Orschelns in Durant to get chicks:
I was there by 9:00 this morning, and I still didn't beat the swarm of people
he.gif
(I am gonna be there at 8:00 next week!)
Anyway, I hurried around the cages only to see some Large Fowl chicks and a bunch of Ducks. Me and three other people all asked where the bantams were, but the answer was the same for all of us (it's like we thought they were hiding something
lol.png
) "We didn't get any Bantams in this time". What! How could they simply not get Bantams! They always sold out so fast! The worker said that he did not know what was going on, but they did not send near enough chicks, and he thought it was crazy for them not to get Bantams this time, too!
I was a bit upset and was just going to leave, but then I noticed a sign for the Friday the 13th sale and that everything in the store was another 13% off today! So I decided I needed more birds after all
tongue2.gif
I wound up with Brown Leghorns, just 4. They are such a pretty breed though, so I am glad I found them

Loves2Garden - That totally "STINKS" !!!!!! Am afraid my
"other side" would have surfaced. Were we closer, I could
lend you a couple of "TJ-totally tamed" mini-Rex bunnies that
he could play with.

Our kids are out next week, too. Pa-Pa has already "X'd" where
they are gonna dig the new post holes for the gate that goes
out to "their" show bird pens............LOL Hey, we're already
paying all their expenses and matching their winnings.......
All is fair in love, war, kids and chickens.......................

Am counting on the kids to throw a big enough fit that Na-Na
gets to go to the lake about mid-week............

Have a good one !

We have silkie chicks and even some young pullets but no buff and I have some young hens too. I'll probably be taking what I have available to the POOPS event in April if I have any left. I still have some Okies wanting some of my pullets/hens, but unfortunately live too far away for them
idunno.gif
oh, and possibly because I don't know for sure which birds I want to sell now. I need more time in the day to look at my birds and see what I want to sell and what I want to keep
