Vern and I are praying hard, never mind the details...we don't need to know them because God knows what you need! Please let us know if you need help though...from feeding the critters to running errands...we are here.

Thanks, Grace. I am trying to find out the date of the Newcastle poultry show. It has usually been the first weekend in October. I heard they are thinking about moving it back a week. has anyone else heard this?

Howdy friends!

Sitting here while the boys have fun at summer palooza...that is what they call our little summer school stuff down here.

Sounds like lots of wild things have been going on...I am about used to the power going out at night. Happens at least once a week it seems like. Out for like 30 mins last night. I was about asleep when it happened and boom I was awake...fun how you get used to the noise.

Any auctions or such during the week? I need entertainment...

Shavon - arthritis...I have some great stories to share! Thought I would get to have surgery this summer to fix some stuff...nope...all arthritis! ASk your Dr. to test you for AS....that stands for...I am about to mess it up...achalosis spongecitis...ok...that wasn't even close...but anyways...it is fun...

Wait, lavender showgirls? My DD's been just dying for a hot pink one since that pic was on here what 2yrs ago?

I think showgirls would push my DH over the edge. Not sure which one of us they would decide needed committed though.

Depending on how DS's meat bird experiments go, I think we may be looking to replace our layers with cuckoo Marans. Only one of the two I picked up has started laying, so it'll be just a bit before we decide. We're crossing them with a Brahma roo to see if we can get good sized sex-links in a fair time frame.

We'll be doing chicken pedicures here today. I wonder why they don't design or allow locking show cages. I would love to lock ours after the judge is through, especially for when they have to be there overnight. I know it would make clean-up just a bit longer if you had to undo a couple locks on the row ends. Feed/water for individual cages might need a little reworking depending on the set-up. It would stop early coop-outs and minimize theft, so it would be worth it to me.

Well...I guess i will go irritate me some elementary teachers! It is so fun!!!

I get to play with gators tomorrow!!!!!!! Of course there will be pictures! I really hope I can take one home! Might have to smuggle it out...

Al, thank you for sharing with us. We've become family on this Okies thread here, and you, Laura and Alyssa are very important to us. You're very much in our prayers.

Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to lighten your load in this journey you have ahead of you. We're here for you brother.
