Al,
I sent you the pictures of the epicurean delights available from the local WalMart in China, also. Just think of the interesting meal presentation you could make when you begin, not with a pig on a spit over an open fire, but with an alligator instead. Perhaps cook a few ducks or slabs of ribs that have been freshly butchered and put on display without the benefit of any ice or refrigeraion. Yummy! NOT!

Morning Al, Peaches, Beth, Marybeth, And Everyone else,

My heifer got over the fence yesterday with the neighbors calves

and we could not get her to come back over the fence

, so fixed the fence and talked to the neighbor, have to go get her after lunch today, he said he would get her up in his corral for me

. I guess I need to get her a playmate as she is lonly since her mom died here while back, don't really have the money, am thinking about taking her to my uncles and get her bred and maybe by the time she comes home I will have the money to get a mate to run with her, maybe a steer to butcher later. I guess my hens are not going to hatch

they have gone three weeks and no chicks, too hot I guess, I will give them another week and throw out the eggs

. Hopefully the chicken Gods will have mercy on me and some of them will hatch

. Still have two sows and a 120 pound pig for sale if anyone is interested. Have a few cross bred bunnies for sale also some almost ready to butcher. Al ol buddy hope all gets better, if you need anything I can help with just holler. Have a blessed day all!!! Lynn

HI-JACKER UPDATE

Talked with him this morning. He leaves Ft. Benning on Friday. He will then travel to Kuwait. From there he will leave for Afghanistan. The good thing, his 365 day tour started yesterday.

I will keep you guys updated as I get updates.

Hi, As most of you know my wife works as a Third Key(Middle MNGMT) for Atwood's, well she had to open this morning, she called me right after she opened and settled down some to tell me that just before she was going to open the doors for business that a man ran through the front of the store in his truck, as it turned out he did not make it, he had had a heart attack and lost control of the vehicle, anyways, Jessie is very disheveled and upset, she was the only employee there at the time, could use some prayers for her and the family of the man in the truck. Wish i could have made the auction...sounds like you crazies had fun...I did got to an auction yesterday but they didn't have chickens...thought about taking some but doubted they would have brought anything. I did let a friend have some oops pigeons to train his dogs with. Kept the bigger ones for dinner.

Lynn glad to hear Jessie wasn't hurt. Sorry she had to see that.
Guess I should have stayed at the auction myself. They had some
polish that I would have died for... Really really nice. AND I need some
of thoes pet cages to transport in. Dang... Marybeth I am good on eggs
for now. She put in a few of her own to test. But I may have a look at Jones
for a cage or two...
