is it possible for you to pm those interested with his addy so we can send him stuff, for those that can't make it to the auction? and maybe what he isn't allowed to recieve? just wondering

for those wondering, cubans cockeral, i relly need to name the guy, is doing well, no fever, eating drinking and chattering when you say hi to him...

Well finally got caught up on things. One computer crashed now got another.

Jim and I would like to thank all of the BYC who attened last Saturday night. Wish I could have made it around to see everyone.

I want to clarify one thing that was announced Saturday night on the start time. Since it is very hot outside we be starting our sale at 4pm. Some of things we do at 2pm will now be at 4pm. We are going to hold that portion down so that the poultry portion will still start at 5pm. May sell odd items for 30 mintues then sell goats. (alot will depend how many goats showup).Hope this will help you understand what is being done. This will be only effective for the next three auctions Aug 11,Aug 25, and Sept 11.

If any of you have anything to consign at any sale, give Jim or I a call so I can log you in. Do this as soon as you can on Friday before or early Saturday day of sale. With the heat I rather have the animals safely traveled. Hope this will help those coming from a distance.

Pass along that there will be something special Aug 11 to mark our 2nd anniversary. Time flies.

Peaches: Glad to here Doc is doing well.

If you see me anywhere and I do not see you. Come say hello as I am working my brain to hard. HA! HA!

To all of you one who attended for the first time,Hope to see you again.

Come early so maybe we can chat. If I slow down.

Thanks all
Jerry

Hiya OKIE-BYC'ers, :) I was out watering the chickens and one of my sexlinks dropped a soft-shelled eggs right on the ground in front of me and before I could even react 5 other hens charged in and started ripping it apart I had the water hose in my hand and used it for crowd control and dispersed the rioters but it was too late the egg was busted and all over the ground,

Does that indicate some sort of diet deficiency? Or are my chickens just brain damaged?

So after one late and long day I finally get to sit down and try to catch up.

Funchick sorry about your hen.

Doc so glad you finally got net established and can communicate now I hope the Good lord sends his best Angels to encamp themselves around you and keep you protected. My Honor goes to you for defending this country and I give you a million thanks Sir, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

NNbreeder Naked necks are fun LOL

Al Sounds like you had a rough day I know that pain I didn't think today was ever gonna end.

P&B hello how have you been.

And the rest of our byc'ers out there. Welcome to all the new comers.

My day started early feed and water the flock as usual then head out for some cattle work had to sort threw lots and lots of steers Had a few Girls on us from another farm had to return them home, Sort the ones with bad eyes, then sort the smallest ones, then sort the medium ones then run ll them out to different pastures. Then we had to load up the biggies and it was off to the el reno stock yards for tomorrows cattle sale. Then go to the vet get the ones with bad eyes and return them to pasture.
Just when we thought the day was finished we get a call that 25 head were out 9 miles east of town by one of the pastures so we fly out there and round em up. (that took forever) finally I got home just at dark to have to start my chicken chores all over again. So I woke up worked chickens, then cattle. Oh yea then a baby coyote it was kinda funny he ran out to the road to a patch of grass by a culvert that the county couldnt get cut all the way Mind you this patch was about 5x25 ft in size the poor coyote would run to one end poke his head out and jump back in the grass and run to the other side. I was just harrassing him and we probably did 5-6 circles in the grass patch. (just when my instinct to kil started driving me I decided to let it be and let traffic deal with him. He was so tiny lol. (its sad the only intertanment I had all day was tortuting a poor helpless coyote Some life I have LOL)
As I said earlier I caught mari's rabbit also this morning following my little tamed cotton tails around I try to keep em tamed and have taught the dog to proctet them incase food is ever scarse here. well I better get some rest. got alot of catching up to do in the morning getting ready for my big processing day. Good night BYC'ers and God speed.

That is the main reason that most don't see soft shelled eggs. I recon it happens pretty regular in every laying flock but the hens eat them. Laying an egg is a complicated process and they just don't always get it right.
