Seems that everyone is stocking up on NNs. We have been raising them for about 20 years and I have never been disappointed with them. Never had a rooster challenge any of us and the hens have been good producers.

Plus they have a personality unlike any other breed.

Robin that is one good looking bird you have there, I think that he was showing gratitude for the help that you gave him.

So, now that I have NNroos in several colors, can I put them with silkies of the same color and start a line of showgirls? Someone in front of us at the auction suggested we could do that and I hadn't really thought about that before the suggestion. How difficult is it to get showgirls with the silkie feathers and naked neck? Does it make a difference whether I use a silkie roo or a NNroo in the cross?

What a long day! Drove down to the Fletcher auction and got some new homes for my excess eggs and birds. Grayson had a blast playing with Montana and a few of the other boys. He especially liked getting soaked with the hose and running around getting in the middle of everything. Usually it's just the two of us, so he loves the chance to see new people and run around like a little hoodlum. Just finished putting everything up and checking the incubator, unfortunately a lot of crooked toes in this batch. Just once I would like to get through a hatch without a power outage to screw up the temperatures. Last time I lost all of my chicken eggs and it looks like now I'll have to cull a lot of my baby quail.

On a happier note, my remaining quail hens laid half a dozen new eggs today for the next hatch!

Hello All YALL Okies,

Hear from Peaches a little bit ago. Glad to hear so many BYCers were at the auction. Hope all had a great time.

MB, I would have loved to have seen the sweatband. I know I could have come up with some smart a** remarks to get me in trouble.

Muesky, if they can enable Peaches with NNs, why can't they have the same options with you?

Still praying for Stimp and Lou.

Al, Ol' Buddy, you know that I really do love you and your family.

Gotta run.

Doc AKA HighJacker

Enablers!

I enjoyed being able to visit with everyone.

Teach, I think I may have one of your Pet taxi's. One was left. IT was a big one. I brought it home and if it is, I have it. The Man with the Goats I was telling you about is
Wayne Glasgo. His number is 405-248-2600

I am going to try to get Montana in Bed. He is very tired after playing with all the kids tonight. He is wore to a frizzle.

I am glad everyone had fun tonight even though it was a hot day. Great Folks Once again Thank you.

I will post Pics of tonights auction tomorrow.

Good Night!

Peaches and Hotdog!

Doc - glad to see you! I like your Gold Feather title - Old Crusty fits you.

The only problem with starting your day with a head band is that like wearing a hat - it shapes your hair so it is an all day commitment.

I have come to the conclusion that vanity doesn't have much to recommend it when I am uncomfortable and having sweat run into my eyes is definately uncomfortable.

Monty - the idea of combining NNs with silkies gives me a "purpose" for each breed, rather than just enjoying them in their original state as rather useless eye candy.
