I sometimes do propping and wardrobe for video shoots, and thrift stores are the best to find things inexpensively. I like to look over the cookware, too - I am partial to stainless steel mixing bowls, and I can usually find a couple there.

Buster - I didn't realize Novella Carpenter still had a blog - thanks for the link!

How funny that is the next thing I will be looking for(SS mixing bowls) , I didn't have any luck when I got the stick blender.

The dress I was suppose to wear for POOPS came from the thrift store for 6.00, LOL.

Isn't it fun to look at things in a different way?
I like it because it is easy to clean and not easily knocked over by the poultry and rabbits. I don't use it for water in the winter time because some will break if frozen with water in it. I also like the stoneware crockpot liners to use for water.

Oh now that is a great idea, I bet they have a hard time knocking those over!!

Yes it is fun to look at things different! I have to say that I waste less $$$ that way & can buy more chickens ( and now soap supplies). I think I need to find just one more thing to fill my time.

Actually, one of my doe rabbits has a 2 gallon crockpot liner for her water bowl because she kept flipping her rubberized water bowl over. Somehow, she manages to flip the heavy crockpot liner over as well.

Everybody needs to go hug a momma. My mom is 73, and she drove all the way from New Mexico on Friday to bring me four boxes of supplies for my classroom. She sat with me in the heat at the flea market for six hours on Saturday, and today she helped me paint the living room and hallway of our rental house. After breakfast she's driving back to her adobe home in Taos to work on her backyard garden. I think maybe I'll work forever so I don't have to die of exhaustion as a retiree.

When we got back from BVille, after finishing up the living room, all the ducks were in the kiddie pool. They were shoulder to shoulder, so not a single one could move or splash. Looks like I need to get a bigger pool.

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and did all they could to beat the heat...

Lost a foo foo bird today
