Doing good City. Finally got all my hens and chicks corraled ,(I think) Had to take three hens away from their chicks so they are not happy campers!Put two more hens with atotal of 21 in a pen so theirs can free range for a while. They sure seem to do worlds better if they can start out free range. All those natural bugds seem to do more for them than the best feeds!
City I sent some more pics when ever you get time. No hurry.

From Okla-Doodle-Doo, here are some of his Tennessee Okie chickens. These are photos of two of his Bantam Turken hens and their families, and his Silver Spangled Bantam Rock rooster.

Thanks Beth!

The tirkens were setting on everyoones eggs so not many are really theirs. You can see one little NN in the second photo next to moms head. The little white chick in the first photo with the red head markings is a purebred comet baby! I am using the spangled roo on two white rock and one barred rock bantam hens. proably won't ever find a mate to match him! Isn't he cute!

can i merge the 3 month olds and 4 month olds with no problem? they look fairly close in size- would make life alot easier

Robin, I think you could merge them. Mine don't seem to have a problem with newcomers until they are grown.

Beth, I should have some nice colors next summer. I hadn't planned to hatch any more this summer, but there are now two hens on nests I've located; both are lavenders. I'm toying with the idea of putting the eggs in the 'bator, but really hadn't planned hatches this late. I just have a hard time destroying eggs that have already started to develop.

Good morning, all!

Robin - I agree that it's fine to to integrate your peeps that are only a few weeks apart - it certainly will make your life easier to have them all in one place. I'm sorry about Mopsy - you worked hard to give him a great life.

Betsy - I think it's smart to hold off plans to hatch this time of year, but I understand your dilemma about the developing eggs. Sometimes my folks have to hunt and hunt to find a guinea hen sitting on a nest in an out of the way place.

Jeannie - great job on the possible Buckguy/Moses avatar! For some reason, your own dancing avatar made me laugh out loud this morning.
