BarnSwallow - Jaxon was disappointed that Austin wasn't there this evening. I told him before we arrived that Austin wouldn't be there, but he seemed to think that something wonderful would happen to change your mind about coming and that he would get to play with Austin.

Prime indeed! I will cut it and then wait until the price of #2 prepared goes back up before hauling it in. All I have to out bid at the farm sales are the local cutters and I can usually give what they are getting for it because they leave it long. Sometimes it stacks up more then Teva would like but since we split the profits she mellows quickly.

Right now where I sell is giving $130 which is way down from $180 last month.

Teach - there were some beautiful call ducks at Blanchard this evening, but I resisted the urge to call you. I ended up leaving before they sold, so don't know what they brought.

Sorry that your reptiles are not doing well. Can you think of anything you are doing differently? Different water, food, temperature? Our grandchildren started back to school last Wednesday. It seems like they start earlier and earlier each year.

Michael's tomatoes are like a drawing, where you have to be present to win

So what kind of baby poultry are you really craving? Could be that some is within your reach if you just say the breed name out loud for the BYC world to hear

Yea and let out my secret wish... silly bunny honey is for bee's ( ok my rendition of the trix cereal saying)

I am not saying for that purpose because I know you are the worst enabler... and Jason and I are nearly in the hospital because your killing us with kindness. ha ha ha

Actually, I am hoping you will mention some variety of chicken that I could "gift you with" from my excesses of young chickens - so that you can spend your time giving them food and water instead of me.

(disclaimer: I don't consider myself to have an excess of ducks, pheasants, peafowl, guineas or chickens above the age of 4 months)

Hi Ya'll,

We finally made it home from Blanchard.

The silver appleyard call ducks are now proudly owned by the Yonderoaks

Oh, and thanks to Maribeth, I sold some peachicks and thanks to a nice lurking BYC Okie by the name of Lori, I bought some peacocks to add to my collection

And to those needing pyrenees puppies, there's another lurking BYC Okie that has some pyr pups available now. Hopefully he'll start posting soon ... Mike ????

We had a great time visiting with all the Okies that attended the Blanchard auction. I think the highlight of the evening was seeing Maribeth's husband, Dean, bid on the pickled quail eggs! Well, that and watching Monty's son Jared hypnotize the turken pullet

Maribeth, I am sorry we never got to visit more tonight. I bid on the four NN hens and I think I quit at $7.50.
They sold for a little more than that but I am pretty sure the other bidder wanted them more than I did.
Peaches I am not sure if I would have bid against you for them or not but you made it easier by not bidding.
Then I kinda lucked into buying a nice NN pullet for $5 that was left in a cage of choice hens.
I would have bid more on the other NN hens but I had somehow already lost my good sense and bought a large "SQUIRREL" cage. Complete with exercise wheel.
Young Dan'l Boone will have a place to put his catch now. Bad thing is I have to go back tomorrow to pick it up since it is bigger than my wife's car that I drove tonight.
Thanks for the cards I will pass them out far and wide.
I really enjoyed meeting the new folks and seeing a lot of my "best very good friends!"
Oh and Sooner wins the sneaky bidder award of the evening. She kept buying things but I never saw her bid.
Maribeth, the big/tall young man that was there is the guy that bought Sooner's rooster.
I know Yonderoak and Jack wanted him too.
I just need to find out what Sooner put in that birds cheerios. He is much bigger than his daddy. Just goes to show what quality care can do for our birds.
Overall there were some good prices on stuff tonight. By the way, I think the Call ducks brought $17 apiece. I was leaving when they sold but I think that is what I heard.
Ok night all!
