I do plan to add light early this year to encourage egg production for breeding purposes only. As for taking a break in laying, my Cornish only lay about 150-160 egg's a year, so they get plenty of break, they lay for a month or two then take a break for a couple of months then start again.

I know some Daugherty's via a girl alittle younger than me but not sure it is the same family.....If I run into her I will ask her parents names.
