Does she make any noise when she breathes? Does she have clear, bright eyes or are there bubbles present? Is her beak dry or is there clear liquid on the "nostrils" in the beak? Is she sitting around with her head pulled into her shoulders (unthrifty posture). Does she have any odd odors about her face or from her mouth? Is she eating and drinking well? Is her crop hard or does it feel soft and mushy? Are her feathers around her vent covered with poo? Have you looked at her feet to see if there is any issue on the bottom of her foot?

Have not heard of any breathing noises. Beak looks dry and she i ssitting with her head pulled into her shoulders. Have not checked the crop, feet, vent or eyes. Will check today.

I actually bought a cheap timer with the buttons you push in to set the time you want on and I set it to come on at 4am and go off at 10am then back on at 3pm and off at 6pm, this seems to be working great, our egg production has really increased, for the Guineas and Marans in the barn I set it up the same wat but also set it to come on from 12 noon to 1pm, it is darker in the barn especially on cloudy days , my Marans are laying their first pullet eggs, we get one or two every day or two from 4 pullets, not bad I think and they are very dark brown!!! Would like to get me some nice Welsummers( HINT Monty!!!) later on in the spring maybe, love having a variety of egg color to sell to my customers, they really enjoy it too!!!

Hey Pigs are smarter than dogs you know, they make great house pets, remember Pettycoat Juction and the Zipples anybody???? LOL LOL !!!!!
Have a great day!!! Lynn

Ok Michael here is a Photo of my family, they are of my Grandmother (2nd from left) and her brothers and sisters. Pic' was taken in Palermo Italy around the turn of the Century, during another family members wedding. The Tall guy on the far right is my great uncle Santo he was tall and my family always told me I took after him, because I am kinda tall.

Lynn : My Sister has all the really nice old ones as she is the keeper of the legacy, she's a scrapebook person and put together a really cool family history scrapbook, that goes back a long way's it's pretty neat.

Good morning folks! Cold bitter wind here today. Got another two inches of snow last night. We started out to a late movie but there were so many slow drivers and cars off the road we would have been late so we turned around and came back home. Going to try and see one this afternoon.
Gave all the birds their morning food and water. They were very happy about that!I have one pair of mondain pigeon babys that I hope survive this cold spell. Mom and dad are doing a good job covering them so far.
Great pic Al. I didn't realize you were that fresh from the old country! Have you ever went back home yet. What kind of chickens do they have over there or do you remember
Well gotta get ready for the movies, catch you all later. Chow!.
