They arent that heavy so we just lift then about an inch or 2 and walk slowly they all move with the pen, its actually pretty easy. And as far as catching them, we use a net for the longer pens but these are easy enough to just reach into. Carl just reached in and caught and ivomectined all 19 bids in less than 10 minutes. They are young so the tend to stay pretty close together.

I have found that it doesn't matter at my house. Madison now steels my red/flower rain boots & Matt doesn't really care if it is a girl color or not. The only way I will keep them out of my gloves is to keep them in my room a watch them.

I lost my gloves. I have bought 3 pairs of goat skin gloves in a year and cant find any of them. the kids(mine and the friends that come to help) keep running off with them.

When I get up that way I am going to have to come by to see all of this, I'm sure I will understand better. I am thinking colored zip ties on the breed pens babies, I won't have that many that I will have to worry about. Nothing permanent just so I can see how they grow.

Come by anytime. It has made our life so much easier. We dont have to clean coops this way and they always have grass without having to let them out to free range. And we toe punch ours since we have 3 different old english babies that hatch solid black. As well as toe punch for other things.

I am still thinking on it but will get back with you if I decide to toe punch.

I am going to come see your set up sometime but when it is warmers for sure!

Carl is over here prattling on about its warm in the car if you turn the heater on and something about you can look out a window.... And the last thing I heard was something about have to bring madison too....... I just laughed at him.

I will bring her but he has to be sent to town so he doesn't give her every bird that she says is pretty!

Tell him when my house is done & I have a brain again I will come cold or not.

He is the world worst around kids. I have come home to find birds i wanted gone, and he says well this kid came over and they really needed.......

I just throw my hands in the air and walk off. LOL

Just got back from town, bought the parts to fix the neon, just a matter of replacing the power steering pump, AND the belt tensioner. then robin will be able to drive again.
