AL
I am just laying back taking it easy, everyone I deal with is out on vacation so not much for me to get done.
Been dealing with the birds and getting everyone re-arranged setting up the toe punch scemes and will be adjusting some brood pens as soon as I figure out how I want them structured and choose the right hen(s) for the things I want to accomplish. We should make some real headway this year on some of our birds so long as we don't sell out entirely like we have been.
You know it is bad when you need to add breeders, sell all of the chicks you have all year long and stay behind at hatching and cull the ones don't like as well anyway. I think it was a little self defeating but this years birds will be better for it. I just can't sell them all this time.

Our Buffs are absolutley huge, we lost the roo back in the heat of the summer and the hens have been shortening the life span of the birds we tried to introduce to them. But as far as personality they are so calm and docile easy to handle and deal with I quess they just don't want a new man or competition from new hens.

Saipan hens, mutt roosters, mutt bantams, barred rock hens (production type), probably an ee hen or two, a black sex-link hen, and some bantam orientals.
Bantam orientals???????????????? Tell me more!!! Got pic's???
No photos, but I can try to get some between now and then. I think they are aseels, but since I don't know for sure they're going to the auction. black breasted red cockerels and wheaten colored pullets

We never had a chance last year, and we are still back ordered from all over the country for this coming year. I think there will be some folks who just get told "NO" until we get what we need and then let some go.
