Okies in the BYC The Original

Went out to Mary's Swap after church today and talked to Michael Daugherty and Pat Drew. Pat doesn't post on here, but he is the one trying to get an auction started in Harrah on Friday evenings. This month, the auction will be January 7 and 21 (the 1st and 3rd Friday) - which puts it the same weekends as the Blanchard Auction in January, since January 1st was a Saturday.

Here is the information from the Okie auction thread:

Harrah, OK
First and third Fridays
Misc., cages, etc. starts at 5:30. Eggs and poultry to follow.
About four miles East of Harah just off of hwy 62. Turn South off Hwy 62 on Countyline road and go 1 mi. There will be signs from there.
Cages for the birds are provided.

For those of us ready for an "auction fix", I hope to see you there.

poutryandbees-i have 25+breed so they are all in breeding pens will cach some off the roos tonight the one that are flitty and the other one in the morning but will still be a long day because they will be testing 200+

madason -dustin is stiil picking the birds he whants to show he clamed the coronation roo as sone as i brut him home and whant to show the bantam brown leghorn and the bantam buf orf but will probly bring 4 or 5 more

When we had our chickens tested we couldnt catch all of ours so when got a big fishing net and cought them but they were in pens but the pens were really big so thats what we did!

That's kind of the way we do it here. Grace gets in the pens and catches the birds and hands them out to me and I take them to the tester. It does make for a dirty day.


It's good to see you posting. Keep it up and you will catch Grace pretty soon.

You and your mom did the BYC thing just backwards from the way Grace and i did it. Grace was on here for over a year before she would let me sign up.
