Thanks for the info, I will check them out. My chicks are still on medicated starter. I think I paid $12.50 for a 50# bag. Their shavings are really high, the feed does not seem too out there but I would like to support the locals in Noble if I can. The Chicks are about 4 weeks old so I will keep them on the starter for a while longer. Have you been out to the Maguire Farm Store? They have the most incredible pizza around and I know they sell all sorts of feed but I am not sure about chicken feed.

I think we used to get our horse feed there but I will have to ask DH. Didn't know about the pizza!!!! Definitely going to have to try that out. Personally I love going to Kendall's any chance I get! They have the bestest chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Their cinnamon rolls are to die for! It is really nice having someone else who is so close to compare notes with. I just moved out here a year and a half ago, but DH grew up out here.

Maybe we can meet up at an auction sometime! Always nice to put a face with the name!

Hey Buckguy, I'm glad you're still alive! You sure have been quiet lately. Are you going to the Harrah Auction on Saturday night? I want to show you these campines ???? chicks I have to see if you can identify them.

I'm going to be selling chicks at the auctions coming up. We have tons of chicks hatching and we can't keep them all. I've got hatching eggs for sale too! New Chicks are: silkie, brabanter, spitzhauben. I have older chicks too ... just haven't looked close at them lately to see what I might part with.

I have heard nothing back from the man with peacocks ... I'm beginning to think he can't catch them or gave them away to someone else. He did call me & say I could have them all ... but that was days ago

I have planned on the Harrah auction for the last sevral weeks and something always happens to stop my plans. So I am not saying I going until I know for sure.
I got sick on Friday and I have pretty much been in bed since. I got some good drugs that help the pain but also knock me out. I can't win.
I will try and pm message you later in the week to let you know if I am coming so you can bring the chicks if you want. I will also bring the giant hen if you still want her.

antheat, I'm not sure who brings the marans eggs to the Harrah auction. I think there are a few different people bringing them last week

Chickenhead, Yes ... you are the first on my list for excess marans chicks. If I get a really good hatch from the eggs I have in my incubator ... I'll probably have some for you. I've already got over 10 cuckoo chicks ... but I'm sure half are rooster chicks. Are you waning any of the other colors? I won't have many of the other colors available, but could have a few rooster chicks of blue or black or splash. What auction are you going to next? Will you ever go to one closer to Oklahoma City?

Buckguy, I sure hope you're feeling better, too! Try some chicken noodle soup! Don't put your chickens in there though!

Yes, I still want the jersey hen! My 5 hens are on strike at the moment because Monday I added three 5-month old blue pullets & now my hens have gone on strike! Yes, please let me know if you're coming!

We got everything moved except for a few small things. Moving is alot harder than I expected! And boy am I sore...

Kaacres, I'm glad I made it in time to meet you! And I am sorry the auction wasn't so great, I promise its usually better than that.

Grace, you won't believe this! Saturday night the carpet layer was there until 5:00 am, and when I got home I had THREE chicks in the incubator! Two days late! One d'Uccle, one Frizzle, and one mystery that I'm pretty sure is a Brown Leghorn. Something was wrong with the Frizzle, though. It never fluffed out, and less than 5 minutes after I moved it, it drowned.

Kathleen and Monty, how have ya'll been? Haven't heard from you in a while! Kathleen, how's the eggs/chicks doing? Monty, did I read that you were sick? Hope you are well soon!
