One year Teva and I was looking at a McMurray catalog and when we got to the page that had the Jungle Fowl our friend piped up and said he had seen those before.

Thinking he meant locally Teva asked him where and he said that they got into a fire fight with a flock once while in Nam. Seems that about dusk A rooster came out of a tree and hit the guy on point and he thought that they were being attacked so he started firing which created a chain reaction. Jack said that all the attackers made a clean getaway.

from Stimpy

1. "Eatin' POOPS"?
2. "POOPS Comin' At Ya"
3. "POOPS For Your Table"
4. "POOPS On A Plate" or maybe "POOPS On Your Plate"
5. "Poops It's not all brown meat"--chickensandmore
6. "POOPS-Its whats for dinner"--RonnieAtkeson
7. "POOPS-You are what you eat"--RonnieAtkeson

If that is all of them, then let's vote. At the beginning of your posts tomorrow type the number of your favorite. For example, say you like "Eatin' POOPS", before you type in anything else type in the number "1". So whoever is awake out there now give it a try to see if I explained myself well enough.

BTW, number 4 already has 3 votes, but if you like number 4 you might want to vote 4a or 4b for the other option. Sorry GB23, I didn't se your vote for #6.
I will probably re-post this a couple of times tomorrow to troll for skimmers.

Good night, all.

My entry is: Cooking with POOPS

My entry is; POOPS on a shingle

The guinea eggs that have been accumulating in the nest box and on the floor of the hen house are heading to the incubator tonight. I let the guineas out of the flight pen this morning and am hoping that most of them returned to their usual roost, inside the flight pen. If they didn't, it will be a challenge to find their eggs, since they tend to hide them in the corners of the flower beds and pole barns. It was so muddy in there this morning that I couldn't stand to watch them wading in mud, when there is green grass all around the flight pen.

I forgot that when chickens and guineas can't get into their normal roosting area, they tend to hover around the door to their regular roost. We were not home when the guineas normally go to roost, so about 10 guineas were flocked along the outside fence of my flight pen and their eggs were laid across the yard like an Easter egg hunt for 2 year olds. Fortunately, all I had to do was open the gate and they willingly allowed themselves to be herded back into the flight pen.

The unidentified ducklings from Attwoods made their premier appearance at Kindergarten today. They of course were a big hit.

It is thundering and lightening to the North of us and we are getting light sprinkles of rain. Hopefully, this rain will keep moving and not leave us a measurable amount in the rain guage. I agree with whomever wished we could keep the extra rain and use it in August. Right now, we are sloshing in the yard.

I went ahead and put some of the guinea eggs beneath a chicken hen that has decided to go broody. I figure if she will stay on a blue chalk egg for 3 days, she must be serious. Hopefully, she will accept the guineas as her own and keep them safe when they hatch. I have had good luck in the past with the chicken hen hatching the eggs, but then not taking care of them as they would a chicken peep. I don't know whether the mother hen's voice isn't recognized by the guinea or the mother hen chases them off. The guinea keets certainly recognize the voice of an adult guinea and in the past, I have watched them cross an open area more than 100 feet wide, to hang out with adult guineas.

Good morning, fellow Okies! It's Friday!! Woooootalootie! I am so looking forward to a weekend at home trying to catch up...

It's going to be a busy day for me today...eight patients to see and my daughters honor choir program to go to at 1pm. At least it should help the day go by quickly.

I'm extremely impatient with my girls and the dogs this morning....please pray that I'll calm down and have a better attitude...sigh.
