Thanks Grace, If I decide on getting some maybe we can find the guy. I have enough to worry with now.

Stimp, I knew a guy that showed OEGB's and he sold a bunch of his culls to a guy in Texas. When he went to the Ohio National Show that year he got beat by his own culls.

Stimpy, I really enjoyed the coon hunting stories you shared. I grew up coon hunting. We never did the field trials and stuff but my dad went hunting just about every night in the fall and winter.
We had a few really good dogs. People always wanted to hunt with dad because he had good dogs. When I was older and our dogs weren't as good I understood then why folks had always wanted to hunt with us back then.
Also I remember when Dad sold his best dog. He was pipelining some then and didn't get to hunt him much plus I am sure we needed the money. Funny how kids don't realize those things at the time.

Monty,

I truly believe that every boy needs a hound. Nothing builds character faster than a good beagle and a patch of woods. They teach responsibility, conservation and stewardship better than a text book ever could.

I adhere to the adage that "if you take your kids hunting, you don't end up hunting your kids."

Sooner,

Welcome back.

Monty,

Like I said, if I hadn't been out of work, that dog would have died on my place. But a man with a family and no job has to think twice about turning down that kind of money for a dog.

Wait .. does that mean that I'm on a 'bad' list?

-Stimp-

No Stimpy! You are not on a 'bad' list! You are on the "Super Fun for Beth to Tease But Remember He Will Always Outgun Her in the Wit Department" list.

Finally got caught up reading....LOL Gees, am ready for this
weather to break ! Is a soupy mess here and they say rain
all day again tomorrow. Did y'all hear about the tornado going
through Irving, TX and trashing the Cowboys practice facility.
They say the players and coaches are accounted for, but four
of the staff were injured. Gees, which way is that one going?

On hatching shipped eggs, the only thing I can contribute is that
any time we have done it, we unpack the eggs and let them
sit for several hours and kinda re-collect before putting them
in the incubator. But, guess the only shipped eggs we have
ever dealt with were couternix quail eggs, and Butler quail
eggs from Aransas Pass, TX a few years ago.

Henny - you should'a hollered.......we deviled EE eggs at POOPS...
LOL Wish we were closer. I've got them running out my ears,
but wouldn't have a clue how to ship them.

Those of us around Tulsa know who Reasor's is....and they
had their Primal Meat Sale this weekend. So, will be breaking
meat down all night and running 70 pounds of brisket through
my meat grinder tomorrow, and then will have my head in
the pressure canners all day Monday. But, should cover me
for the summer. Is lotsa work, but sure saves the money.....

I'll be back and forth this evening....trying to stay caught up..LOL

Have a good one !
