P&B, do you get enough honey for your own use at least? If you don't then out of curosity, why do you keep bees? I've always been fascinated with bees and all the health benefits associated with them. I'd definitely get some honey from you....love fresh honey!! Ran into a guy outside the grocery store last year who was bringing in honey from his own hives to sell at the store. I was talking to him and he handed me some wonderful medium/dark honey and some sorghum....I never tried the sorghum...LOL. But LOVED the honey he gave me.

I'm home!

What a ride. My daughter is sick and throwing up, poor thing is miserable.

I got wet up to my knee's taking care of the chickens. I got the tow little banty's put up but they weren't happy. My youngsters are afraid of them.....Got the eggs in the bator but they weren't real warm but not cold either.....guess I will see what happens.

Sonya- local bee pollen is great for alergies, take a tablespoon a day- my mom swore by it, somehow it will build up your immunity to local allergens- but it needs to be local to your area- i know the health food store in tahlequah has it-

sooner..why are the kids scared of the banties? your poor daughter, must have been quite a drive- how is she now?

Hi Byrdluv!! When I said younsters I meant the young chicks that are in the pen beside them. The newbies were raising cain about the new pen.

She is still puking, looks like I might be taking the day off tomorrow.

Carah, I am glad you made it home safely. How is the little one? I know that is no fun for you or her.
Glad you got the eggs in the bator hopefully they will hatch.
My pens are horrible. I was slip slidin everywhere but I didn't fall down.

The boys (over 21 years old, mind you) are out in the ditch catching crawdads!! LOL.

Can you believe we are *already* having a time with the ticks in our yard?! I keep pulling them off the dogs and have frontlined them already....we always have a heck of a time with them even if we treat the yard.

Yep...we don't eat the dirty little boogers, but my yard and the ditch by the road is full of them and they are interesting..we even kept one in an aquarium for over a year...his downfall came when we added a turtle to the mix...it killed him. LOL.

Oh, it sounds like a stomach virus instead of just car-sick if she's still feeling bad. Poor thing

We had a stomach virus go around at work & even Gerald & I had it. Awful for the first couple of days and then very tired & yucky for another couple of days. I hope she doesn't have it!

She is sleeping now after the last bout. Thanks for asking!

I hope she is better in the morning but I don't think she will be. I may just get along weekend......I will play with my chickens!

I need to get some rubber boots I have used up all the old boots I have had. I plan to let the hens out tomorrow, they have been in that muck all weekend.

Got hubby set on a coop design!! I think we start to build tomorrow!! We also get to pick up the goat for my daughter tomorrow!! If she weren't so sick she would be excited.
