lol poopcee! That's cute!
Speaking of State Fairs, does anyone know if they show poultry at the Oklahoma State fair in OKC? I looked in the schedual and asked around while we were there, and the only thing anyone knew is that there is a poultry show at the Tulsa State Fair.

I took the family to the state fair on Sat 20 Sept, I looked and looked but did not see any chickens. Somebody told me the poultry judging was earlier in the wk, and the owners of the birds that placed well, take thier birds home soon after as opposed to leaving them for a few days so people can see them. We were a little disappointed as this was a big reason we went to the fair, I guess we will go earlier next year in hopes of seeing some really nice show stock, and get a chance to talk with some chicken folks. other than that the fair was really good, lot's of things to see and do and EAT!!. just a nice day with the family.

I don't think they have poiultry at the State Fair of Oklahoma (OKC)
Its a shame they don't. Maybe we can lead an effort to "Git er Done!"

Sounds like you have a good dog. Nice to have a dog that protects your chickens, rather than attack them, or let other predators attack them.

My moutain curr came through for me the other night. I forgot to shut the door to the feed shed. About 10:00 P.M. I heard him barking, but this time he was really getting after it. I went out, and he had 4 racoons, "treed" on the upper shelf. Good Dog.

Hey y'all,

I'm new here and just wanted to say hello. I live in Lexington and I raise White Rocks. I'll be adding a few more breeds later as well as a few call ducks. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all better. Maybe I'll run into you at some of the shows down the road.

Guess I'm talkative today. Did anyone read or hear about the Pittsburg County 4-H trailer being stolen. It was loaded with all the winning exhibits from our County Free Fair, waiting to be hauled to Tulsa State Fair.

There were about 150 blue ribbon exhibits in the trailer. My grandson's gun cabinet almost went on it, but they were afraid they might break the glass. So Sue and I hauled it to Tulsa.

After seeing everything that was entered at Tulsa, and knowing most of our county kids projects were stolen, I just felt so badly for them. But don't you know that a thief wont stop them from doing their projects next year.

Welcome Stimpy!!!!

And Bricker that is horrible!!!!!! :thun It makes no sense in my world why people would do stuff like that!?! Nothin b etter to make someone feel like a "big" person than to hurt kids?

I know what you mean Bricker someone stole my grandmother's gooseneck from where it was parked it was finally found abandoned about 1 year later. My hubbie and I hae a boat on trailer and a work trailer both have ball locks on them, I figure if they go to all that trouble.

Talk about being proud of your dog my Schnoodle "Noodle" was a city dog before we moved to the country. Well my hubby and family thinks he is absolutely useless. Last Wednesday night my hubby and I were laying in bed watching TV and Noodle starts going off. I sit straight up smack hubby yelling noodle does not bark like that for no reason. I hobble out ( happened day I fell) and Low and behold the neighbors dog (I am seriously concidering a .22 rifle here) is trying to get in the goat pen.

I looked at the State Fair booklet and didn't see any judging of chickens. The only chickens I saw were those on display in AGtropolis, where they had a display of grown chickens, one of eggs that you could watch as they hatched, and one of baby chicks. All those were right next to the really awsome bee exhibit - which was a new exhibit at AGtropolis this year.
