Al, yes I have buff orp chicks, and we'll make it to the Cement auction, but will possibly be late if we swing by the house to pick up some birds.

We also have blue, black & splash jersey chicks available, and some white guinea chicks.

KT, we do have Bourbon Reds that we hatched this year, but I sold some when they were younger, and it must have been the hens, because almost every one is a gobbler

they are beautiful though! Anyway, we are going to keep every turkey hen we have left so that we can raise them. A pair or trio of toms strutting around the yard is cute too ... and turkeys, or at least mine, don't fight with each other, like roosters do. We'll try to bring some to the Cement auction.

Stimpy, you're in Lexington right? Are you, or anyone else here, going to the Poultry Auction in Lexington on Monday night? Here's the ad on craigslist:

Poultry and FREE Fish Fry (Lexington)

Monday Nov. 3rd at 5:00 pm we will be having a FREE FISH FRY before our Poultry and Small Caged Animal Auction. We will start the auction at 6 pm to sell farm related misc. then we will move on the the poultry. We start taking consignments at 12 noon on sale day. From Lexington go 2 miles east, 2 miles south, then 1/2 mile east we will have signs posted. For more information call Jim @ 405-826-8631 or Barbara @ 405-370-8967 or email [email protected]

I've decided to take off work Monday so that I can go to this auction ... my boss approved my leave request

Hi Maribeth, from what I hear, it's twice a month, the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month at 5 pm. I've never been though.

I'm going to make the Cement sale one of these nights. I promised Al I'd come down there for a cup of coffee someday.

And yes, I'll be at the sale in Lexington Monday evening. That is Jim Evans sale and it used to be a pretty good auction. He stopped holding it for awhile but he's firing it up again.

Oh yeah, I changed my mind about the pirate get-up. I was out driving around and decided to try on my eye patch. I couldn't decide which eye to cover so I covered them both. Now I have to get a new truck.

I'm just gonna dress up like a klingon.

It was a good buyers market at Jones Sat. Teva bought a trio of black-tailed white Naked Necks that would knock your socks off! The rooster stands close to 16-18 inches tall and must weigh a little over ten pounds.
Hogs, Goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and geese. Plus cages and equipment too. Started promptly at five and ended around 9:30 or so. Yes it's the second and fourth saturday of every month at 126 E. Main st. in Jones. 9 miles east of I-35 on Britton road

Oh my goodness! I want to see pictures of them! Let us know if/when you want to sell their eggs/chicks. I want some! Wow, I guess we need to go there next week.

Since the Cement auction is tonight, (and they sell rabbits too) I may try and make it to that one. Where is it located, once I get to Cement? If I take some rabbits to sell, do they sell with their cages? (don't laugh, that is how the Prague auction works)

You should bring a cage, but they sell some cages at start of the auction and they sell some during along with the chickens they came in. so no they do not sell the cages with the animals unless you want to. As usual there is only one main st in little towns like Cement, it is north on main st till you see our trucks, about 3-4 blocks. Blue & white metal bldgs.

Carla :

Well we are set then, I will see you at Cement tonight. My Turkey pen is now empty ( all went to Thanksgiving day dinner ) so I have plenty of room for more chickens, until I get my meaties in the spring. so I will probably be buying quite a few birds tonight if I see some good ones.

KT.

I am planning on buying you 2-3 doz full grown adult ROOSTERS so you can have them as pet's. I will tell your weird stalker friend ( the one w/the Elvis hairdo ) that you said HI. hehe
