Hi All, it has been a while since I was on BYP, I live in Morrison, north of Stillwater, I am looking for a few pure breed eggs to put under a hen to set on, she has been trying to set now for about three days, is there anyone near me that has about 8-10 eggs they would do some trading with, I should have some pure Black Sumatra, Golden Pheonix, Black Australorp and Silver Pheonix in a variety or if you want to wait and see I may have other breeds. OK folks, somebody start talkin, I am about ready to sign off for the night but would gladly chat with someone for a while, am looking for 8 or 10 pure eggs to put under a hen that wants so bad to be a momma, I live in Morrison Oklahoma, just north of Stillwater if someone is close by so I can pick them up.
Moderns and OEGB are different but like kissing cousins...not off your rocker just rocking a little fast...same colors and heritage
The POOP party is gonna be a swap and eat and meet and fun time. We are still working out plans but looks to be April 25. We are gonna have fun!
I have nothing laying consistant except coturnix quail...
Welcome to the new folks..
Monty glad to see you made it through alright...did you mark the correct leg?
Cuz I forgot to say that I have no moderns just OEGB...I know a guy that has great ones though in Freedom, OK...
by the way...I have a buddy that is probably gonna sell his bantam cornish from some good stock...if you might be interested holler and I will get with him...would see about hauling to the swap...just don't want them to go to a flea market...long story
Hey Greybear, How far do you want to venture for eggs? We have folks here that are getting some. My hens are just starting to lay but I don't have them all separated out yet.
Hangemhorns, Doubleostud and Danverguy are three of our group that live in Stillwater. You might try sending them a p.m.
Sunday evenings are usually a little slow on here.

I LOVE
bantams. I have never seen bantam cornish, let me do some reading up on them and I will propably be interested. Find out how many birds, how much and what kind of quaility. I don't like seeing good birds going to the flea markets either. Could they be shown? we can't decide what kind of birds we want,
so we have several pens set up.
Right now my bantam collection consists of: brown leghorns, black wyandottes, cochins, and modern game.
I put some brown leghorn eggs in the incubator and when I candled tonight I had swimmers YEAH!!!
Okies, I have eggs getting lots of eggs.
My Blue Andalusians are laying great I have eggs posted for sale, over on the hatching eggs spot.
And my Welsummers are doing great I got the darkest egg over the weekend.
My barred rocks are just getting into laying, I'll have eggs soon on them.
The Golden Lakenvelders are available also I can do 6 + on them.
I hate to eat eggs that I know needs to be in a incubator.
I have a lady that was going to get 2 doz BA and 18 GL over the weekend and she had some bad luck and is going to have to wait.
So her eggs are going to have to go into the freg.
I'll have eggs just about any time if any one is interested. I do have a few orders to fill coming up that have paid in advance.
And my bantam addiction continues..........I just won Aussiesharons Bantam barred rock eggs from the Austraila fire relief auction.
I need to start thinking about collecting show birds for my 4H kids. The parents have ask me to find them birds for the fair in August. I want them to get them this spring and take care of them and fill out their record books on the work that they have done with them.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to get them?
I have had one mom ask for bantam cochins, BUT, Shaun (my kiddo) shows black bantam cochins and took bird of the barn last year with his hen. I do not want to be put into a spot where I would have to either pick out a bird that I know would not beat my child or pick one out that I thought would beat him.
I want all of "my kids" to have differnt breeds so they don't compete against each other(the kids of our 4h group).
Bantam cochins have been our "thing" since Shaun has been showing birds. I am honored that she likes our birds, but I hate to be put in that spot. What other breed could I offer up?? We are going to the Pryor poultry show in March so hopefully I can find something there.
