I feed Red River Grain layer pellets. At 20% protein, the cost of $9.75 per bag is great.

Dandelion007 where do you get the Red River feed?

Okiemommy - Red River Grain is carried by Cross Brand feed, located at NE 63rd and I 35 in Oklahoma City. As I recall, it was about 50 cents more per bag than what Dandelion pays, but still less expensive than Purina

Thanks for the info!

Everything seems a bit higher at the Jones auction ... eggs, chicks and adult birds. There were 3 times as many birds and people at the Blanchard auction.

Thank you for the compliment! I also took your hint and advertised that we are NPIP certified. I think that really helped!

Monday morning - "Come on TJ, we're gonna miss the
school bus".........."Ok, Ok, I just wanta show Na-Na
this picture." ....LOL I don't see any dust settling on the
book...............

Looks like Pa-Pa has the bator cooperating. We've got
about 40 chicks on the ground.....so, he and the kids
put "8 dozen" laying type eggs, and "5 dozen" bantie
eggs in the top two trays yesterday. Come mid-April,
I may accidentally hit that plug-in with the vacuum cleaner.
Yup, with this nutty weather, it's still in my house.......

So, how many are coming to Pryor next Saturday???
Am thinking we shoulda hidden the "book" until after
this show..............

Have a good one !

Way to far for me! But I have a chicken being brought to it!!! And a couple pigeons!!! Whoohoo!!!

I have quail hatching in my classroom as we speak...you ever tried to take a test with babies cheeping! Fools should have done better on the first test and gotten to play with them today!!!

Keep dreaming buddy!! I would love to haul you but I had to get an invite! You are more than welcome to come visiting during pheasant season! If we have any next year

That is a good idea for grabbing eggs that are out of reach. I just use a long handled cooking spoon, but putting a handle on it would make it handier. I recall that my grandmother had a bent spoon attached to a broom handle for getting eggs that fell below the chicken wire roosts and I considered it a treat when I was about 6 years old to be trusted to bring the egg up using the spoon.

I don't have one now but I used to have a golf ball retriever I used to get eggs.
They are adjustable and work great. You can get them at any golfing or sporting goods store.
