Well Greybear...we are around but not real chatty...I have been on the phone with a friend listening...I think he finally realizes that he ain't in control.

fainting goats are cool!

Okay figured out the shirt my family needs and am sending you a Pm!

Greybear...PMed you regarding some inquires I have made. Not sure you will like the price but figure you will understand the reasing behind it.

obvious t.u. hater - I have eggs! I am nowhere near you but I raise coturnix quail and they lay like it is going out of style! I also have mutts laying like crazy...I only play with bantams though!

lol you're not a real okie are ya teach? J/k ^_^

I think if you watch the roo situation they could be just fine. Some do well and some dont. Just keep an eye on them for shenannigans.

You're welcome

I'm pooped...........but wanted to check in. Our birds are
in their respective cages up at Pryor. We've gathered up
all the "stuff" that we forgot.....LOL And, guess we'll head
out earlier than I'm ready for in the morning to go back
and feed and water again................ We'll have to leave
by 7:00...the judging starts at 8:30.....and I don't even know
what planet I'm on until 9:30 !!!!!!!!!!! I probably should
go get dressed and sleep in the truck....................

Ronnie, there's a gal up there that has two or three pairs
of silkies, and a few more pair of turken/silkie cross pairs
in the sale area. I didn't ask her what she wanted for them.

And, when I get over being totally mortified over it, I'll
have to tell you about the guy that was sitting in a chair,
blow drying his chicken, when I came back in after a
smoke break, and ...........wish Stimpy had been there......
I'd have sworn he did it.......... Go figure, y'all know I'm
from "toolieville" Oklahoma.......Yup, my "Joe Lewis mouth"
overloaded my "Shirley Temple backside", and I started a
"did all that yesterday and I'm pooped" conversation with
him..............He was a super nice guy and we laughed
and talked for a few........... Then, a few later, I met his
mother........She is adorable!!!!..........and I still didn't have
a clue who he was.............................. Oh, it came out
on the way home..........................

There are some "super" nice birds up here for the show.
If we get a 4th Place anywhere, I'll be blown away.

Gees, if I'm gonna be awake, at least to the point I can
get in the truck, I'd better find a pillow......................

Have a good one ! (Good night, John Boy)

Gosh, your turkeys have sure been busy! I just added a couple dozen turkey eggs to our incubator too. I don't think our royal palms are laying much, but the blue slate and bourbon red are doing good. My Narragansett turkeys have decided they are'nt in the mood. Absolutely nothing from them

Our first turkey poults of the year (2 blue slate) should hatch next Sunday, if all is well.

Alright...I GIVE! Someone, anyone, PLEASE help me to find some silkies that are NOT show quality and have no place being in the same area as a show quality bird...I am DESPERATE for broodies...

PLEASE! I will kiss you if you help me find these beauties...they are out there...I just KNOW it!

We'll be headed to the Cement auction on Saturday with the truck loaded with chickens, chicks, eggs, and a couple of tom turkeys. We've decided we need the pen space, so the Easter Eggers (Ameraucanas) and the Araucanas are going to the auction. We've been aquiring different varieties of marans lately, and no place to put them. I'll be sad to see my green egg layers go away

but Gerald and I agreed that fewer people are interested in buying those green eggs or chicks from us than the other breeds. I think next on the list will be my Brabanter chickens to go, but not this time.

Oh ya they are out there for sure.... I just bought 4 that are 4 weeks old at the Durant auction on Tuesday. I don't know for sure their sexes yet but hopefully not all roosters.
