And my final pamphlet for all of Arkansas that will be published by the UofA for my Special Problems course with Dr. Clark.

Teach was right you can get help right here.. I will start with (Western Civilizations 1)
what you need to know is that people from Europe Moved west to America (Western Civilizations 2) They had a land run in Oklahoma so they moved here,, That should cover those 2
Now for (Personal Financial Management) when your wallet is empty, and your checkbook says
Zero, and you don't have a bill collector knocking on your door then you have managed your money right..

See that was not so hard.. Now you can come to the POOPS meet up and have fun..

anyone else want to help just jump right in

Honestly...that's how easy that Financial Management class is. PROBLEM is, I get a knot in my stomach whenever we talk about credit...and *gulp* debt...

chickensandmore, can you tell me something??? I am paying for a PROFESSOR to teach my Western Civ. 2 course. Instead, I have a grad student teaching it (which wouldn't be so bad...) and he is also from Turkey. Can someone explain that decision to me? "Oh yes, this man must know a lot about Western Civilizations! He's from Turkey!"

People Of Oklahoma Poultry Swap April 25th 2009 I-40 and Chactow KOA

camp.

This is just an informal get together of our group here and their family

and friends. We can bring birds to sell/trade/swap.

Okie Dokie will start the food thread here and will update it here on this

post and also move it to current page each day. Will that work.

Who is bringing what.

Those that are traveling a ways maybe could do paper and plastic ware.

Breads and chips. There will be a Loves right at the exit off I-40 to get

ice and such if needed. There is a WalMart just about 15 miles from this

exit on I40 in Shawnee. There is also a WalMart off I-240 and I-40 from

the west in OKC.

yep, sounds about right! Just be thankful if you can understand him, I had more than one class at OU that I dropped cause I couldn't understand the person teaching it (usually TAs)

That's why I'd drop the class the first week and find it again a later semester.

I did have one prof, who I adored personally, but her breathy voice drove me insane, and she LOVED to lecture......

Dizzy,
Wish you were closer I have a rubbermaid tote brooder just popping with baby "mutt" chicks that will be needing a new home.
I am VERY addicted to hatching so my incubator is full and my hatcher is too!!

I have 2 LG still air incubators, 1 for incubating (has a egg turner that hubby bought me for Christmas) and 1 for hatching. I am either trying to talk my hubby into a sportsman or talk myself out of one.

Next weekend there is a swap up this direction, I think I will take my chicks there and see if I can sell them to pay for Shaun's show animals (Boer goats and poultry) We bought more birds at PRYOR!!

It all starts with a little Styrofoam incubator. I have two borrowed Styrofoam jobs. It has prompted me to build a frig bator and now I plan for the 2 little ones to be hatchers. It all hit me pretty quick. I only have one chick standing as a result of all this. I could have saved plenty of money by just buying chicks. Well, but really I would have had to ordered chicks since the one I had hatch was a Buttercup. So really the cost was justified. And I have white mallard eggs in it now. And Buff Brahma SQ Bantams eggs. And a few more of the Buttercups. Oh, who am I kidding! I NEED the big bator!

My plans for this week on chicks... I'll be waiting at 9:00 am on Friday at Orschelins. Dizzy you are welcome to wait with me. I hope to be there BEFORE the invasion of the chicken snatchers. Last week, I got there after and left empty handed too.

But, do I really need anymore chicks???

Last night at the Cement auction, was a change from the last 2 months of crazy high prices, Prices this month were much lower on Roosters, chicks, and hatching eggs. Of course Banty's and good laying hens went well as usual. More things were PO'd than ever before, so folks the party is over for now if your a seller looking to make a killing at Cement LOL, Oh well.
With that said it was still a good time with Carla & Gerald, Sam, My DW and I and Goldrose, and we missed Henny & her Hubby, all of us sitting in our BYC section. There were alot of birds but the crowd numbers dwindled quickly after about 2 hrs. See ya'll in the front row next month.

On behalf of sellers, I am sorry that prices were not so good at Cement last night. I hope you got a good price for the feeders you took.

I guess there is always next week at Blanchard and Jones to try and sell stuff for a fair price.

As a matter of fact I PO'd the feeders, there was alot of intrest in them but mostly just a bunch of tire kickers when the bidding started. I did end up trading Carla 2 of them for a trio of birds. Things may change a bit going into spring and summer but don't hold your breath. LOL the rule is if you bring stuff to sell they don't bring much, when you go to buy everything is through the roof LOL. I did buy a nice Silkies Rooster for my DW's silkie hens for $ 3.00 so that was good.

Dandelion - you have perfectly described the beginning of the "gotta hatch chicks" addiction. We probably need a support group for those of us addicted to hatching chicks and those of us addicted to auctions. The problem is, we need a leader who has overcome those addictions to be the leader of the 12 step program.
