People Of Oklahoma Poultry Swap April 25th 2009 I-40 and Chactow KOA

camp.

This is just an informal get together of our group here and their family

and frineds. We can bring birds to sell/trade/swap.

Those that are traveling a ways maybe could do paper and plastic ware.

Breads and chips. There will be a Loves right at the exit off I-40 to get

ice and such if needed. There is a WalMart just about 15 miles from this

exit on I40 in Shawnee. There is also a Walmart off I-240 and I-40 from

the west in OKC.

Oh, with these two and going to the lake....we don't go
anywhere without a new tube of "glow sticks"...of course,
that is fun for the kids after it starts getting dark. Am sure
TJ will throw in the tiny little TV and the game hookup and
the games. Last year down at the lake, we heard all this
laughing and finally figured out that he had about 8 kids
"under" the 5th wheel, in the shade, so they could see the
TV, playing games.

I've got the tube lights that we clip to the awning, so if they'll
let us set up near our "designated" area, we should be able
to shed some light that way.

And, if tables are needed, we've got 2 - 4-ft, and 2 - 5ft
fiberglass topped tables that we can throw in, as well as some
extra camp chairs.

AND, sounds sooooo neat, if we can get "someone", hint-hint,
to bring a guitar, holler if we need to bring firewood.........
Gees, may need to bring both trucks........LOL

This just sounds soooooooooo fun !

Have a good one !

The fiberglass tables will definitly be a plus for a serving food lineas we may need them for the huge feast we are planning , and fire wood should be brought if you can as they do have some there but there is a charge.

Our POOPS meeting area is set-up very well for what we need. I spoke to the folks there and this is what I have learned, the Clubhouse that is reserved for our group is located off to one side of the campground near the Cabins. There is a large covered porch for setting up the smokers and the serving tables nearby with a outdoor sink. right inside is the kitchen if needed with tables. The best part is there is a large circle drive in front of the building that is in grass and that is where they plan to have us set up for our Chickens, it seems that everything is very centrally located but not to close together so there is plenty of room. We as a group will have the entire area to ourselfs as it is not in the path of the campsite foot and vehicle traffic. the folks there have been very helpfull and accomodating. That is what we have so far!!!.

My Cabin reservation is for Friday and possibly Saturday if needed.

Sherri,

Should we send you a little extra $$$ to cover for paypal fees? I know that every time someone sends me money, paypal charges a (not so nice) fee. I'm not sure what the percentage is that they charge, but probably at least 10%. Also, what about shipping or are we going to wait for delivery at POOPS?

luvs2garden2000,

Please add 2 to the attendees for me and Gerald.

I haven't decided yet what to bring to eat. I wonder if my Dad's strawberry plants will be producing by then? Strawberry Shortcake sure sounds good right now.

Put me down for two desserts. Probably a cake or pie and maybe some cinnamon rolls. Party of 2, unless I can talk someone else into attending with us.

Like I said before unless my pregnancy does not allow me to attend, which would make me very sad.
