Another note, when Lisa is ready to get back into her chickens, I will gladly hatch out some eggs for her. I will put a plea out to the BYC community for the type of chickens she likes/had. I know when we were allowed to do the auction for the AZ fire alot of people contributed. We cant do that again but I am sure people would donate eggs. I can also get her some laying hens to get her back into the eating eggs for sure.

I'm glad you liked the Blanchard auction. It definitely is the best of the auctions that we've ever attended too.

I forgot to mention to everyone, the auctioneer discussed with the crowd at the end of the auction whether or not to move the start time to earlier since it lasted so long, and they decided that beginning with the next auction they will start at 3 pm instead of 5 pm. and will be there at 10 am for check in.

That is great... I was just wondering why they dont start earlier since its on saturday. As much as I like goin I dont like getting home at 3 or 4 AM.

It is easy to tell the difference once you learn what to look for but can be a bit troublesome at first. This is only true if looking at the pharaohs...the males breast will be much redder without spots. The females will have many more spots and not as red. I will try and post som pics although I must admit that I still haven't shown Greybear pics of my pigeons

Monarc has tons of pics available. At that age you can tell the difference. Although they may look like they have plenty of room if you keep them even slightly crowded past ~8wks...all heck breaks loose!

Stimpy - Be nice now! I will never divulge my partners until I get the correct plea bargain!

yes they were shipped eggs, I am so disappointed. I didn't throw any out yet since it was only 7 days, thought I would check again in a few days since I was so tired. I have another batch in my homemade incubator but won't be able to candle them till next weekend.

Forgive me that it is early and can't make my brain tell me what JG is?????

I am still trying to catch Lisa.
I know they lost a german shepherd that she has had for years. I am not sure exactly what all she lost in the way of livestock but I know she had a lot of chickens and turkeys and some goats.
I will let you guys know when I get more info.

Dang that sucks....I would be over the edge.....But I guess you can lose anything at an time....Gotta live while ya can....(sounds good). The sky out here this morning is just gorgeous. I don't know how God manages to make such gorgeous skies so continuously out here....sometimes I have to stop and stare for a bit.

Poor hubby... he overslept! He never does that! Forgot to set the clock. I woke up and it was daylight and I heard him snoring away and I knew something was up...

My Polish are chortling away over their crumbles and oatmeal.... They are so funny. I like playing through the side of the brooder with them. They try so hard to be brave...but in the end they end up in a corner huddled up and chortling at me....I checked Mrs. Squeaky's kids yesterday.... they seem to be doing good, although it's difficult to examine little chicks while trying to pry the hen off your face. Jeez.... doesn't she know by now I'm not going to hurt her little hatchlings.... One of them I think is red.....That will make Mikey happy.

So did y'all get any rain... we did....it makes everything so clean! I miss gabbing with y'all.....
