as a newby with chicks, went in and checked on them with the weather, thunder and all... they seem pretty relaxed with it, but i have a name for one of my BO.... motor-beak....she had to tell me all about it!

We found the first duck egg today from the runner ducks (of which I am fairly positive two out of the three are male). My grandson wants to put it in the incubator, but I think we will leave it where it was laid and see if mama duck will lay some more in the same location.

Chiclooker, I will definately be at POOPS, barring an emergency. I am looking forward to meeting everyone that we know just by screen names. I am going to get my Sportsman up and running this week, so if it needs any parts, I can have you bring them.

Hey Al,

My grandson went out to lock the birds up tonight and ran back in to tell me that the gate on my young birds was wide open. I don't know if I lost any or not. I'll have to go get a count early in the morning. I hate to admit it but this time, it was my own fault.

We live and learn.
