I have really gotten into the self sufficient living stuff lately. I'm raising the largest garden I have ever raised this year at 70X50 feet.

I have 4 RIR's around 9 weeks old and 15 three week old RIR's and 35 that have been in the incubator for 11 days.

My daughter is now wanting rabbits and have been thinking of getting some meat & milk goats. So yeah wanabefarmer fits me pretty good. lol

Hey Wannabe Always good to see people close to me starting the farming. I am in Westville. I have recently gotten into milking goats and started Raising Rabbits again. Good luck with the farming

Sorry about your mom... I have been going through that too. She was in the hospital 3 times since Christmas. I had to admit her to a rest home last week. It was really tough. Still going through some weird emotions with it all. It's almost like anger or grief....I guess it just takes time. I'm very blesses that she is in an awesome place, with great folks who can care for her round the clock better that I could now....

Shawnee would be fun.... this year I think I could talk Mikey into it....I think he thought we were a bunch of "online loonies" He had a blast at POOPS cooking with Al and The Wingman.... He wants to go again.

Donna aka luv2bmemaw2, we enjoyed meeting you at POOPS and talking to you at the Jones auction. Did you have enough room in those incubators for ALL THOSE EGGS YOU BOUGHT????? I hope your Mom is doing better.

Henniepennies, I hope your Mom is doing better too. I'm glad you put your mother in a place they'll take good care of her. I sure wish my Dad would do the same. My Mom needs full time ... at the stage of a baby now (but worse) & can't talk or do anything else for herself, but Dad still refuses to put her in. Are you & Mike going to the Cement auction on Saturday? You gotta go just to visit at least!

Gerald and I had so much fun visiting with all the Okies at POOPS that we're ready to see everyone again! Hopefully we'll see a lot of you at some of the auctions coming up. Speaking of auctions, I mentioned to Gerald last night that the Chupps auction is this Saturday and so is Cement ..... he said "are you wanting to go to both?" .... and I said, "well, we do have Friday off". I think he has the chicken bug again & may want to go to both ... Chupps is in the morning, Cement is in the evening and they're only a 4 hour drive apart

Carah, I hope you're feeling better soon. That is cool that you grew up around the same area that I did (part of the time). I forgot to ask you what HS you went to. I went to US Grant, but only one year because my dad was Air Force & we moved.

I just bought some assorted color rosecomb bantam hatching eggs on ebay this morning. Gosh those are pretty birds!
