Wannabefarmer - I think even the wife would have had fun...not many escapes! Birds were not flying aorund and in fact you really had to work at being near them and not around people! I totally missed the turkeys except the big one! Missed out on the malays...should have given the boys money! I am gonna hog tie my wife next time and haul her down

Sounds like me Teach...I'm making my hubby come next time so that he knows that we're not all crazy! Bad thing is he works weekends right now, but maybe by Fall, he will be on the city department and maybe be off a weekend or two...LOL.

Sooner: I hope you feel better soon, girl. I was still fighting the plugged up head thing this past weekend and felt horrible the week before, so I feel your pain!

Henny: The singing I heard as we were leaving on Sunday was divine...you have a real talent there...don't forget that...you are blessed with a gift.

Two folks I met but didn't get to talk to much were Greybear and Bigokie. My loss but I will make up for it next time.
The KOA had nothing but good things to say about our people.
I talked to them Sunday when I was there about building more cabins but they aren't planning anymore this year.
They will probably add bathrooms to the two that don't have them now.
Al and I talked about folks that want to stay over. It wouldn't be quite the same but there are tons of hotels in Midwest City and that is only 10 miles away.
I am sure we could plan a way to set up a shelter for everyone's birds for the night so they wouldn't have to haul them to town.

Hotels wouldn't be the same! I will bring extra tents! What we needed were those part tent thingys...tents without sides? I have stuff to make them with tarps...kinda...but I am trying to get some for like going to flea markets and just get togethers. Know what I mean? If we had some fo those we could have really cut down on the sun that got on some people's heads!

Plus if they had sides we could have stopped the wind and helped the chicks!

Yeah those things would be great to help cover the birds.

Big question. What do I feed these quail? I have been feeding them chick start and grow. I know that is not right. Is there some Purinna quail chow or something?

I think if I can't get a cabin I can barrow a camper or we can pitch a tent or two, it would have been nice to have some of the covered awning things to set up chickens under or we could set aside the area where there was shade on the south and west side of the circle for the birds and such next to the trees. Monty I did get to talk to you a few minutes while cutting meat and thank you for the game eggs, they are going into the bator soon, your son was great with my little girl, she really had a blast on those bikes, Lynn

We've got one of those gazebo deals, and a 10x10 screen
room, and TJ has a 10x13 tent with a divider in it that has
never been set up yet......Bet we can "get 'er done"......

And, just wondering, ....guess it's next on our "major" list......
well, after we go to my 40th class reunion May 8th......Am sure
I'll have had a lot more fun at POOPS...................

This NPIP Class the 12th of June......I know Loves2garden is
going, Pa-Pa is registered, ....who all else on here is going
to it???

I am going to the NPIP class. I will be drained from class the night before. 5 hrs!!! Can you believe that stupidity!!!! After the first 2.5 hour miss you loose a letter grade. I am starting with a B because my school is taking all us high school teachers to a meeting thingy in Atlanta...we got a grant last year and we earned another one...they were a little impressed with us
