Well now that the rain has come in pretty heavy I may go to the Cement auction after all. I had planned to do chores around here, move compost pile with the tractor, build an outdoor brooder, Mow this tall grass, all of which have to get put on hold. Oh well!! I will try to catch the Kentucky derby on TV today.

Good morning all, yes it is still raining here!! My poor garden is soaked to the core, I may never be able to get out in it again! I need to till it all, the last time it dried up enough between storms I just tilled between my rows that had plants in them, and now the grass is coming up where I have not tilled in a while, it is going to get away from me if it keeps raining, may just have to mow it and start over! I don't know if I am going to get the rest of it planted if it keeps raining! I guess I will have to try for a fall garden!! Luvs2garden, every time I see you mention your husbands name I think your talking to me for a minute!!!LOL, did I get to meet him at POOPS? Pepper I seen you at Poops but I did not get around to introduceing myself, so I will say hi now and maybe next time we can visit some, what kind of chickens do you raise? Lynn

OK, so I woke up at 2 am because I heard some commotion on my porch (yes I have some chickens living on the front porch

), so I go outside and *OMG* there is a big oppossum sitting there eyeing my chickens

. Well my gun is sitting by the front door but it is 2am and I really did not want a visit from the sherriff so I picked up Uli's bicycle pump and hit the stupid thing so hard I knocked it into a tree. Unfortunetly it got away. If it is dumb enough to come back I will shoot it.

I really need to get some llamas.

So I was going to go to the Chupps auction then I saw it starts at 8:00 am

and it is like a billion miles away from where I live. So I think I have Uli convinced to go to the Cement auction with me tonight. Can anyone tell me what time it starts tonight? I vaguely remember it starts at 6:00 pm but am not sure.

Hope to see some of you there. Nothing to sell just there to buy a couple of birds.

I really really want ot go to cement for sure now, come on Carah lets load up and go. Only thing is keeping the birds dry going there, will not come home with any, or I dont think I will. I can put the chicks that I want to sell in the cab of the truck not a problem there, I have about 10 roosters I want to sell. Counted the other day 13 roosters and 20+ hens. Wanted to bring them to POOPS but just couldnt manage it. I will talk it over with my Lynn (how is that Lynn) and see what he says. Not sure if you met him or not. Tall skinny guy He is in some of the pictures. Well go back thru the pictures someone posted a link to and he is standing next to me in the one Carah took of us.

Lynn, when you was posting on your sons account and signing Lynn I thought oh gosh we are for sure gonna be confused now 3 Lynns.

Tina I wish I could it would be a chance to see all my friends!!! It's a family thing that I made happen in the first place so I would get strung up if I backed out now, plus the loss of the ticket price! OH how jealous I am!

I have Welsummers and blue andalusians chicks and some mutts I hatched to try out an incubator. I got those dark cornish hens from Cuban at poops.
