Monty - 16-18 days on the quail...I put them in with the chicken eggs...that way when they hatch I know it is time to move the chicken eggs to the hatcher

Stupid brochures! I have I mentioned I really hate testing? I don't get to teach! I don't have my students...am watching another class and they can't do what they need to do because it is a computer class and all the computers are being used for the testing which is online now! But we get to see the scores faster! We are gonna be on the naughty list this year

I am jumping with enjoy, I got a new baby chick just hitched. The first one I ever done myself. This is the bunch I said non probably would hitch.
All the rules have been walked on in this bunch.
I set the eggs, room temp keep going crazy so on day five move it to a new room.
Purchased an egg turner that dump my eggs on two different day.
Yep thank goodness there was a tray under it. Then it stopped working all together. Then my friend told me they won't hitch because they were not at the right angle. Was turning them but he said not enough.
So, I am wildly happy I got one so far. And a day early
Of course it the same man that said Harp eggs were dead and I got 9 babies. He never knew they could be late. Hitch for 30 years, always toss 2 days after due and never opens to see why tthey didn't make it. But I am teaching him, one step at a time, like pulling teeth.

Oklahoma Lightning, are you able to make it across the creek now? I hope so! The message I got from you yesterday said you were having to park across the creek and walk a 12 inch beam to the other side? That is scary! Be very careful! We've got a thunderstorm and it'll probably hit Eastern Oklahoma later today.
