I bought eggs from him twice. Nice big eggs! I had more than 50% hatch which is good for shipped eggs, but not too many blues

I had more black and splash colored turkens than blues, but they sure grow fast and are super-healthy. Sure we can trade!

I haven't done too well at hatching shipped eggs lately. Out of 14 wheaten oegb eggs I won on the 24 hour auction, only 5 hatched, and out of 6 mille fleur d'uccle & 3 silkie eggs, only 3 millies developed and 1 hatched

Actually, the hatching eggs I've bought at local auctions haven't been doing much better either. Only 6 chicks from 18 creole bantam eggs I bought at Blanchard, and I just candled some of the eggs I bought at Jones auction .... 9 clear out of 2 dozen Blue Splash Marans, 18 clear out of 3 dozen Blue Laced Red Wyandotte eggs. I really think some people may be saving their eggs for a full 2 weeks to take to those auctions. Anyway, I have others from the Jones auction that I need to candle, but they're in the incubator that I have chicks & turkey poults hatching in right now, so I can't check the others yet.

So far my eggs I got from ebay have been hit and miss. I have some developing nicely and so far have taken out 18. I candled the 4 turkey eggs I got and they are all clear. Very disappointing. I think it is easier sometimes to just buy the chicks and poults, but i can't resist doing the hatching thing.
I haven't candled the ones I got from you yet, Carla, but I'm hoping your good hatching mojo got mailed with them.

I love those hen huts!! But I don't trust people who don't post prices... you know your going to have to assume the position....(*Hennies bends over and grabs ankles*)

Beth, glad ya made it home OK...

I guess we aren't going to get any of the rain... you guys are gonna get it all....

Well, you could buy some of my turkey hatching eggs next time, too! They've been really fertile .... got turkey poults everywhere now to prove it!

Okay, I will have to do that. I'm easy that way.

I'm getting guineas anyway. I might increase my maran order too. I really want a nice flock of marans.
I am in chicken mode since I have been banned from riding or running barrels right now. This baby is going to grow up thinking she is part of a flock...

cityclucks - no, I haven't been trying too hard either, been busy trying to get all my work stuff wrapped up before going into labor, which I am beginning to think is never going to happen

. Still have 3 buff orpingtons and 3 black australorps if someone is interested $8 a piece.

Carla, well I am hoping to windup with a pair of Blue and or Splash Turkens. Any extras are up-for-grabs/trade

I only have 1 chick from the last batch of shipped eggs I got
hmm.png

But then I think of my "gorgeous" Blue Ameraucana pair and remember that those are what I kept (didn't sell) out of the 12 chicks I hatched from 20 shipped eggs, and that is a really good turn-out in my mind

Were those Crele bantams OEGB?

I realy like that last coop, the one that houses up to 60 birds (id get in so much trouble). 2 have prices but of the course the one i want doesnt.
It was just pouring rain here and then it stopped all a sudden O_0

I don't know. The egg carton said crele bantam .... nothing else

I'm sure hoping they are oegb ... what other breeds are there in crele? They sure look the same shape as my wheaten oegb chicks, and just as bouncy.

Do you have or know of anyone that will want to do some trading for unrelated chicks? I've also got some blacktail buff japanese chicks that are a couple of weeks old from the Cement auction. I'm starting to get hooked on these little bantams. I've got bantam rosecombs in the incubator from 3 ebay auctions I bought recently ... most colors except black!
