Thank goodness we have two brush hogs but I think I will cut the front with the swather. As far as doing a good job I would put it against any mower. Like that 14' swath too and after all they were the original ZTR mowers.

Sounds like you are ready to buy 300 Jersey giants. What auction would you take them to? Will you have them in time for the Jones auction on the 9th?
Black Jersey Giants are nice gentle birds that are large enough to eat.
Big Okie likes to buy large batches of chickens like that
The Jones auction is a long drive for me I take most of mine to Southwest City Mo., and once in a while I will take a load to the Afton OK swap meet.
Actually I dont event know for sure where the Jones auction is for sure but from what I here it is about a 3 hour drive from where I am
Odds are, if you can get them for 50 cents each you will get your money back on them - even if you get 300 of them

That is my plan except for the friends that want them, When they go to the sale they will go for at least a $1 a piece the mixed strait run go for .75 so I am sure that I can get a $1

Yo Stimp! I'm doing great - been outside all afternoon expanding my chicken runs...putting off mowing the yard. In fact, if Lou's not doing anything tomorrow, send her over with her new John Deere - I'll be happy to give her plenty of really high weeds to test it on!
Hey Greybear - What happened to you today as far as the
"road trip" up to Ponca City. Just heard from Bill..... Don't know
that they accomplished what they wanted to, but sounds like
they had a good time.
Al picked the restaurant........ROFLMAO.........The kids are
screaming and choking.......Pa-Pa tried "squid" !!!!!!!!!!
Oh yuck, I can hardly even type it................... That's kinda
up there with mountain oysters, or any kind of oysters for
that matter. I'll never know................
I've been around. I seem to spend most of my time reading and never getting caught up. I've also been doing a lot of shopping but very little buying. I always convince myself that I can find a better price somewhere else. When I can't, I can never remember where I started from in the first place.

Keep an eye to the skies.
Now, don't go knocking mountain oysters. They are a favorite of ours. If it weren't so much trouble to bread them and get the fryer going, I would fix them more often. I definately don't want to fry them inside because we never cook them in a small batch.

Bethinoklahoma sold a few young Black Jersey Giants at POOPS. I don't know anything about them, but here's a synopsis from Henderson's Breed Chart: Hen averages 10 lbs. They are a Dual Purpose (formerly Meat) chickendeveloped in New Jersey in 1870s. Never commercially popular, but bird of choice for capons. Lays brown eggs - maybe 3 a week, but a good winter layer, and they're very winter hardy. Good brooder; protective mother, but very slow to mature because of size, not an economical eater; adaptable to confinement or free range; calm, gentle, easily handled.

Stimp - I can't remember where the good price was either, so I usually open up a couple of tabs so I can keep the pages open as I brouse through the online stores. Otherwise, I keep an email message open, then cut and paste the website with the price into the open email - then send it to myself. High tech - not!
P&B He is a Kentucky Dom cross with a Peruvian Game, he is gorgeous and some day I am going to have some just like him, when I get a second job to finance my addiction!!!
Tjsnana, I talked to Al about 5:30pm and he said he didn't bring my New Hampshire hens, just as well, I had a million things I had to take care of today, one of which was my three year old granddaughter!!! and my Four year old daughter!!!
