My wife told me that beer was too expensive, and I'd have to quit.

Then I caught her spending $60 on make-up.

I asked her how come I had to give stuff up, but she didn't.

She said she needed the make-up to look pretty for me.

I told her that was what the beer was for.

I don't think she's coming back.

Chinese, we like the China King buffett on Shawnee bypass.

Mexican, I use to like El Charo's on the corner of Shawnee & Main but the last few times it has been hit or miss. So I would just go with El Chico's on Shawnee(North side of the road)

BBQ would be Runts or Myplace.

I guess everyone is off enjoying Mothers Day. We have had several hitches today.

My son sold his truck so that has taken up time that would of been used to build pens.....oh well one more day won't kill us.

I'm talking to myself I know.

Stimp's byline says "I saw six men kicking and punching my mother-in-law. My neighbor said 'Aren't you going to help?' I said 'No, six should be enough.'"
Stimp - I know that I shouldn't be laughing, but that is funny. BAD, but funny.

Just looked at the weather - it is so overcast I am a little surprised it isn't raining, but there is a 78% chance it could start at any time. So I am going to go plant my flowers before it starts raining. By golly, it is Mother's Day - I get to play in the dirt if I want to.

My son just told me that in honor of Mother's Day, he had planned on not asking me to cook anything for him. Unfortunately, he got hungry and his good intentions are gone. I am still recovering from the intestinal bug I got early last week and don't want to cook or eat much of anything. How did he survive living in an apartment at college?

I played in the dirt yesterday! Went to lowes, they had a bunch of flowers on clearnace so I got twice as many! The kids usually help with the planting but I sent them to friends houses. We lost our Rat Terrier yesterday and I was pretty upset. Felt like it was my last link to my dad (it was his dog).

Kids are amazing about mom's cooking, it tops all else! I pulled a rotisery (sp) chicken out of the freezer in case I had to cook my own meal!

I am strawberry freezer jelly when I got home from church! Will be making more Tuesday, love it when my MIL has too many. I plan to learn to can this year.

I really appreciated ya'lls help yesterday evening. I wished later that we had put the keets and hatching eggs in the front seat instead of inside the crate closest to the back seat, so I wouldn't have had to unload the van last night to get the keets settled, but since I had to totally unload everything this afternoon anyway so I could put rabbit cages in the van - it just made me take care of the chicken cages last night instead of this morning.

It has been a good Mother's Day. I picked up 4 NZ white does close to Chickasha this afternoon, got two flats of Dianthus planted despite the misty rain and got to sleep late this morning.

My flats of dianthus were on clearance from a fundraiser that got rained out too many weekends this month. They were not as large as the ones I paid more than twice as much for at the Farmer's market, so I just planted two plants in each hole I dug with the bulb planter.

Strawberry Freezer Jam is the best stuff ever. Years ago, I made low sugar freezer jam using the low sugar Sure Gel. It used to be so easy (didn't require ANY cooking) that I put up 14 flats of strawberries in that low sugar freezer jam one year. Then Sure Gel changed the formula so that you had to add water and cook part of the juice with the water before adding the strawberries. I stopped making it once I ran out my stash of the old formula low sugar Sure Gel. I wrote Sure Gel and told them that I didn't like the change in their formula because it made the strawberry jam taste like strawberry jello when you added water to it, but they said people preferred a firmer set on the jam. It has been more than 10 years since I made the strawberry freezer jam and people at my office still ask me about it. My grandmother used to make freezer strawberry jam using Certo. I have tried that, but it is really sweet - good fresh strawberry flavor - but really sweet.
