Good today getting some well needed down time, until I have to go check the chooks. Lots of rain, but I saw through my Bino's that the water is running off the concrete run's just fine so it should be no mess. What is up with you? are you at work? say hello to THE MAN ( boss ) for me LOL. Did you have a nice Mothers day, I bet they took good care of you.

AL

Yes I am at work today. Having a hard time staying focused! It's not raining here (for the moment) and things are back to being a muddy mess. Mother's Day was nice. DH cooked dinner and the kids let me do my thing. I had already planted my flowers. I made some great strawberry freezer jam. Today I need a nap!

Good for you!!!, too bad about the work thing, I got rained out of the job site today. Now I don't know what to do with my day, can't sit still but the rain is limiting my choices LOL.

Sooner, just an fyi...you can't can in a pressure "cooker". It
must be a canner.

As far as the Once a Month Cooking, I do that some, but that
leaves you at the mercy of electricity. Of course, out here where
I live, if a fat bird lands on the line, I'm out....LOL I much
prefer the "canning". That way, a bag of mozz cheese and two
pizza crusts and wa....laa....2 supreme pizzas.....or a carton
of sour cream and a box of Minute Rice, and Beef Stroganoff
in 10 minutes..... and I'm outta there.......

There are a lot of "dry" mixes that are excellent as well.
You can make any kind of "cream of ????" soup and store it
in pint jars. Then just add your ???? when you're ready to
mix it up.

The Ball Blue Book.......I replace mine every couple of years.....
that's Na-Na's "other" Bible...........

Henny - Believe it was Don that said they set up another
account strictly for PayPal. That's what we do. Works like a
charm and keeps you safe.

And, you shouldn't have to pay anything for your Mom !!!!!
Hope you haven't signed anything making you liable. They will
take all but $35 of your Mom's SS and Medicaid will pick up the
rest. They should pay retro when you get her approved !!!
My mother was in nursing care for 6 years.

Survived my 40th Class Reunion Saturday night.....Yup......
POOPS was a lot more fun.........LOL

Have a good one !

TJs Nana

I did sign all the dang paperwork. My neighbor told me later shoulda had my Mom do it....even if it's just scratching. But the Medicaid lady told me not to worry about it, it would be OK. I won't be happy till it is....Patience is not my strong suit!! Thanks for the info... I really appreciate it.

The sun is trying to come out here, I don't think it will last but I will take what I can get.

My work is great, I don't mind coming in on days like today. If the sun were shinning I would want to be outside. LOL.

nana, thanks for the information. I am not ready to get started yet, so I will take your words of wisdom and use it.

What do you think about the trip to Luvs?

Glad you survived the 40th! I can't wait for the next POOPS!!

I finally got my bedding plants for my garden yesterday after a long search, but they look good. I always wait to put it in because I have been burned too many times before by planting at the EOM april. Now I will have to wait even longer to set them.

I got it from Process heating co. it is called an Edison base cone heater. 1-866-682-1582 $27.00.
This could also be used as a great coop heating source, with precautions of course.

Sooner,

After 35 years, she tells me what she wants, and I nod like I know what she's talking about.

She, like all you women, knows exactly how to get whatever she wants, and make me think it was my idea. I smile as if I had good sense and pat myself on the back for being a good husband.
