Teach, have you considered a career as a book reviewer? You managed to summarize multiple pages of posts very succinctly.
Hope you are feeling better now that you have had several days of antibiotics. Bronchitis will knock the stuffing (and energy) out of you.

I am actually feeling better. I think I figured out why I had no energy for the past couple weeks! Gives a person a complete different outlook about things! Good sleep will do that! I also haven't coughed in a couple days and i was thinking about smoking so I could quit!

Of course! You sound shocked! Only on Oklahoma can you break a water line.... during a flood... in a creek....

Yuk yuk yuk, now you sound like a true okie transplant LOL. Most don't mention things like that, they already know how backwards things are here, no use making themselfs feel worst about living in this god forsaken place.

Well I am from Texas and I had never heard of a water line going through a creek. It's all a first for me.

Hey NNbreeder, how fast is this turner. Every time I check it, its full tilted to the same side? I can get it to work using the manual turn or if i set them even and turn it to auto but then it stays to one side. How long should it take to turn the other way? Its the 1202 im talking about. Should the auto turner light stay on or just when it turns, ive not payed attention but dont belive ive seen it on before?

Squash bugs & borers : this should do it!!!. At the first sign of the little buggars mix this up.

4 cloves of garlic
1 small onion
1 small jalapeno pepper
1 tsp of Murphy's oil soap
1 tsp vegetable oil
1 qt warm water

pulverize the garlic, onion, and pepper, and steep it in water for 2 hrs. strain the mixture and further dilute with 3 parts warm water. add the Murphy's oil soap and veggie oil, mist spray your plants with AL's special elixir a few times a week. and your problem is solved.

Try this Lynn.

How many of you on here raise Pheasants and Quail, I sent a message to the Wildlife dept to see what I need a permit for to raise in Okla. and asked them to send me an information packet, Just wondering about others experiences with either, what size pens do you use, how many hens to a rooster, what foods do they eat, are there any good online sites to see pics of different breeds/variations of pheasants, Lynn

General question...
My husband thinks that we have too many chickens. Now the count is 5 adults that will stay and maybe 15 chicks that I want them all to stay. We free range and have 13 private acres with a large coop.
In general how many do you all have at one time ? Just a general ball park guess would be great...
