Just a suggestion, I use a thick coat of triple antibiotic on my hens that get riden or pecked to much. I also spray a mixture of vineger and soap or windex (about 2/3 vineger and 1/3 soap) to keep bugs and flys off. Flys and bugs can be a real problem right now with open wounds.
Hope that helps.

The Department of Ag building is on Lincoln blvd, I just north of the capital building next to the Department of Education building. I will google it tonight and give you better directions, just let me know what direction you are coming from.
I can bring a couple extra birds you can practice on. Do you want small, medium or large. I am bringing some turkey babies, cochin and a jersey giant. You can pick from the group I am bringing. K?

Help....need suggestions...I can't get the humidity in my incubator above 49%. I took my three eggs off the turner and have them sitting on the bottom so they can hatch. I put wet sponges in but it just won't go higher

If it's a styrafoam bator...you can use some masking tape and duct tape to "plug" up the holes for the hatch. The holes on the bottom of the incubator will allow for enough air flow to keep the embryos and chicks alive.
