I have 6 showgirls and silkies w/showgirl genes that all hatched in the same two days and they are different sizes it is really strange. The showgirls are definatly smaller then the silkie mixes.

Speaking of ordering a variety pack. I am wanting to order some bourbon reds poults from McMurray but you have to buy at least 15 and they will not ship turkeys with chicks. At this time I do not want 15, since I just bought 5 from Carla and am getting ready to order 5 from Cackle. I talked to the people at McMurray and at Cackle and they both have over 15 breeding pair of bourbons so the chances of getting a related pair is pretty slim. I am wanting to diversify my bloodline as much as possible but ordering eggs on line has not been very successful.
If anyone is interested in ordering turkeys from McMurray let me know and we can put in an order together. I do not believe you have to order the same kinds of turkeys and I know they have Narragassants, blue slate, etc as well.
I so love baby turkeys, especially that little three note trill they make. it is so darn cute.
Soak some hamburger meat in anti-freeze and then leave it where the coons can find it. Make sure that all the animals you want to keep are locked up tight. You won't have any more problems with the coons. Works on coons, dogs, cats, possums, you name it.
