Morning Grace! Sorry to hear you didn't finish the problem off but glad you did not have any issues! Be careful with those neighbor cats...especially if the neighbor has a black and white cat!

My mother claims the only fight she knew my grandparents had involved the release of a cat that was a skunk! My Papa stunk up the house and my Nana was on him about it non-stop. Apparently at some point, he put his newspaper down and informed her if she said one more word about the skunk he was leaving. There was never another word said about it!

May I step in here and ask my fellow Okies a quick question?


I am taking a few days off next week and trying to get a few things in order. First thing, I would like to get a Farm Tax Exemption. Does anyone know if I would qualify?

I have land, 3 dogs, 6 chickens, & I live in my barn. Will I have to have anything else? Cows, Horses? Do I need to buy a goat this week??

Man, it rained this morning.

We moved the muscovy ducklings outside over the weekend. My bathtub is still a mess. I got the barn coop divided up into pens like I wanted.

I just gotta put tin in at the bottom and divy up the birds. Started construction on another hoop coop.

Baby chicks hatched this weekend, only one didn't make it and another probably won't. All's good!

Sooner got me thinking, wondering if anyone has tried making a temporary chicken yard? we are still building the coop, but the girls need some outside time- any suggestions- they'd be inside at nite, this coop is taking forever!! then i have the banties and silkies needing some outside time too
