Well I've finally gotten over my little tirade about post offices that are out to get people by killing their polish.
Anyways, the rest of the chicks should be fine, now.

Sooner, I used to have to move my broody hens all of the time since they seemed to enjoy nesting is the bales of hay, at the front of the pile, that we used for the horses. They didn't mind us moving them into the nest boxes, though one of our older ones did mind the first time we moved her, then she just started nesting in the dead tree stump at the back of our pasture.

I am sure it will take me a while to put together her new pen so she won't get moved till late this evening. She is in the coop so it might make her mad.

Sorry the post lost so many of your chicks. When will the re-ship your order?

I am playing nursemaid to the hub. His fever spiked up to 103 for most of the night. He had to go out on a call too. Some drunk hit 3 poles...Loser. I got him down a little bit this morning and it seems to slowly be coming down. He looked a little squirrely this morning. Called the ER and they said to alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 4 hours and it should break by tonight. He's downing the Gatorade.

Hens were OK this am. I took everything out of the coops last night and raked so there were no hidey holes...Mrs. BO took her peeps from the south coop to the north coop...(Big travelers). I let everyone out to hide in the shade for a bit... when I enlarge my coop they will have a couple small trees to sit under and they have their high class, rural, redneck, white trash, Jeff Foxworthy camper shell out there. All I need is some flowers planted in a toilet.....

Hope y'all are doing good this weekend.

Henny, I am sorry to hear about your hubby. Hope he gets to feeling better soon.

I love men and their kind jestures. We are trying to get pens built and my kind and thoughtful husband invited some of our friends over to help this evening. That is wonderful but sometimes he doesn't think.

Now I am stuck inside cleaning the house and making supper for everyone and not getting any pen building done. UUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

LOL...knsl...men have a mob mentality! WE MUST GET TOGETHER! WE MUST STAND AROUND, SCRATCH, PASS GAS AND BUILD THINGS! ARR! ARR! ARR!

My hubby's fever broke about half an hour ago. I went in and the poor thing is conked out and drenched! But cool to the touch! Praise God!

OF course i hatched in a 1588. Now I got to get around and get the 45 or so eggs out of the 1202 and into the 1588 for them to start pipping sometime tonite or tommarow

Henny - so glad to see that Mike is better !

P&B - If the creek don't rise.....we'll be there and would be
all for of us for lunch after the class, if that gets put together.
Sounds like fun....but I'm not sitting by Al....he'd manage to
make me try "squid" without me knowing it !!!!!!!! Don't think
he's going to the class, but did say he might be there for lunch.

OK, now a question for you locals..........Carla, isn't it you that
works at Tinker? Have been pouring over maps of OKC, checking
campgrounds, etc. I'm thinking, at this point, the best place
for us to try to get RV reservations would be out at Eastland
Hills RV Park, 3100 S. Douglas Blvd. We'd be coming in on #40
and looks like it would be a fairly easy shot to the Capitol
Complex, the zoo, the OKC Memorial, etc. Can't really tell,
how many miles out would that be?????

Have had Pa-Pa busy this morning installing the new dishwasher
and now they'll be back out there finishing up 5 more pens and
rigging automatic feeders/waterers so there won't be much for
our "house sitter" to do.

Holler with any suggested "druthers".......Thanks.

Have a good one !
