I guess Gerald and I will pack up his old Ford truck & go to the Afton Poultry Swap on Saturday morning. We'll pack thru the night & head out around 4 am. At least that's the plan.

We intend to take all our hatching eggs, turkey poults, roosters, some young chickens, lots of zucchini and cucumbers from the garden, and whatever else we can stuff in the truck to sell. I'm looking forward to it.

Gerald & I took off work today. It sure was a wild evening at Tinker after the storm came thru. Several aircraft were damaged by equipment & trailers that were thrown around. Those winds must have been stronger than 80 mph in some places. It's going to be VERY expensive to fix the one airplane that my organization works on. A hole is now in the side of one because of a trailer that was thrown against it. Some people had windows broken out of their vehicles from the hail, but we only got hail damage on our pickup. We were lucky.

Well, I'd better get off the computer and get to working on getting ready for Afton.

ROTFLMFAO.....Oh heavens, Al..... you are a card. That is hilarious.... Mike would tell ya you sound just like me.

Robin, sorry to hear about Spike. They tear ya up, don't they? I'll never understand what's in them that makes them so loveable. Darn chickens....they are just so wonderful.

Ke_Ben....Mike says the same thing about California!!! He says "California...Where all the fruits don't grow on trees and all the nuts don't come from Brazil". It sure is a mess. I grew up going to the beach with my sister every day in the summer. They year I left they were making a big deal that the gangs were fighting over the pier. One gang said they owned the north side, the other gang said they owned the south side.

I was like you stupid B------ds, us SURFERS own all of it. I hate gangster trash.

hey henny, ship your gangsters to east LA or San Diego - they wouldn't last 5 minutes- seriously!

thanks all, i wonder what it is with chickens- they do rip me apart when they get hurt or sick, and i sit here with puddin his hatch mate snuggled next to my arm- i think she is looking for him- so i spent my afternoon painting chickens to put on ebay... sigh...

Rebecca- thanks for the offer, but i can't remember the last time we were out your way, unless someone is coming this way... i want a pullet youngster, but not partridge or white... puddins white and spike was partridge

I don't know how you make it. Yeah but its a dry heat. right? Like that matters at that temp.

I played golf in Vegas once. I almost froze to death. It was in the 50's and raining and i was wearing shorts and a tee shirt.

Aww geez, okRobin - I'm so sorry about Spike. You really worked hard to get him well - he certainly was pampered these past few weeks and I hope he wasn't in pain.

I got 4 eggs today - that totals 9 since Monday out of my 12 pullets - they were 20 weeks Wednesday. Plus they're laying in the nest boxes -yippee! They're little eggs so I hope most of them get bigger, and I'm not sure who's laying which, but at least they've started paying rent!
