Thats an understatement! New one has an enlarged kidney so lots of ultrasounds and dr appts. plus we just got it confirmed my middle one is lactose intolerant and we are trying to figure out the rest of her food allergies/intollerances by trial and error so my day isspent cooking and chasing little ones because we can't eat processed food right now..... yeah that's why I've not been on.....

Killed a big bullsnake in the backyard by my patio!!! He was not pleased....I think he tried to get in the chicken run and couldn't make it with the double wire fence. He was sunning himself by the rosebush....My weenie dog Roger was totally amazed and didn't know what it was....

Went to Lawton last night with Mikey. Went to Tres Amigos, had a huge margarita and a good boo-hoo there at the table. Sometimes visiting my mom takes it out of me....I try to be tough while I'm there, encourage her etc. But it is a harsh road.

Went to Home Depot and got 5 gallons of paint for the front bathroom and the living room. Got scrape the bathroom ceiling...pull out the medicine cabinet and rewire the light fixture. Need to recoat moldings and doors in my mom's old room, then it's done.

Going to be busy!

Good morning all!!! I made biscuits this morning!!! and hamburger gravy, some good breakfast HUH??? Sounds like a good day ahead. Oceans, Dakota had lots of allergies when he was little and we found he could drink Silk (soy milk) and he liked it, then the dr. said to try plain cows milk with chocolate in it and we did and it did not bother him, he has grown out of a lot of his allergies and I hope your little ones will too, we will pray they do. enjoy them while they are little as they grow up fast!! Last year it was McMurray having the problem with their chicks sent out on two different hatches. A friend over in Hawaii lost all but a few of her chicks.

Hatcheries own very few of their own birds, most have flocks under contract to produce eggs for them. MG testing would be impractal due to the cost and the frequency that it has to be done. Can you imagine testing a barn of 40,000 birds monthly at 15 dollars a test?

With the advent of free-range flocks due to consumer demand the frequency of MG, AI and END will increase due to the interaction with wild birds and the inability to practice even basic bio-security.

The poster from Md could have unknowingly infected his chicks due to poor bio-security practices or they could have even been infected in transit from either wild birds or adult birds shipped in the same compartment recently. After all I seriously doubt that the cargo planes and trucks get disinfected after each load.

Sounds fun LOL, How was that big Margarita ???.
AL

Al and Henny, Have you guys ever eaten at the mexican restaurant in Chattanooga?
I had heard it was good from a lot of people and then one day I was in the waiting room at the eye doctor's office for one of my son's weekly vivits and I met the son of the folks that own it.
He was a super nice giuy. His last name was Garza.
If I am ever down that way, I would love to eat there.

Oceanseve - Bless your heart, sounds like you've got your
hands full right now. Prayers that you get some "simple"
answers soon so some of the smoke clears for you and little
ones.

Greybear - THANKS for your post the other day about using
the treats with your show birds ! We have two hens that
are totally content to squat down regardless of what's going
on around them, even at table shows. The treats are on
my shopping list and we're definitely gonna give it a try !
Gees, "the kid" has already marked the Cherokee County
Fair, the Tulsa State Fair, Fayetteville, and Shawnee on our
calendar. If there are any more shows this fall...........
DON'T TELL HIM !.......LOL

NN - we've got you down for the fabulous Banana Pudding,
and Buckguy for the "popcorn"....LOL

Muesky - I have never tried tofu, but want to this time......
provided AL is clear across the lot so I know that he didn't
sneak a bite of squid in mine.........LOL

Have a good one !

Hi everyone, looks like another great day! My kids are home from a week at their aunts house! I have missed the little boogers. My girls is attached at the hip with me.

Tofu dogs really do not taste like tofu and trust me if Al slips in some squid you will know cause calamari is gross and rubbery. Maybe I will make some tempeh burgers for POOPS, tempeh is kind of expensive but man is it good grilled into burgers.

Well gots to go do dishes
