I just don't want to reply to the ad while at work, but maybe on my laptop during a break I will. That's a good price on the pair of bourbon red turkeys too, unless they're babies. Gosh those turkey poults eat too much.

okiechick57 - Good to see you on the board! Neither of us are on much these days, so I feel priveleged when I happen to catch your posts.

How have you been??

Grace - I caught the end of the weather on the news this evening, it looked like your area got multiple inches of rain! It rained ALL day here, but we apparently didn't even get an inch.

Who on the board has Blue Andalusians??? I think I might need some eggs...

I had a lady e-mail me looking for some Golden Salmon Marans eggs to hatch. Anybody have any?

Al a coon has a big range to cover so it may take up to a week for it to come back around your way.

I know we sure did enjoy the rain. Almost got enough to close the cracks in the ground. It was getting serious enough that people around here have stopped selling hay because they didn't believe they were going to get another cutting.

The only thing surviving in the garden are the Jal. peppers.

Thanks Less, I know they do allot of traveling just trying to keep my hopes up for getting him. we have probably 4 good running creeks that wind all over the place all within 1/4 mile of my land, one nice one runs across my back pasture for a good ways, I take my walks down there all the time.

While walking look for tracks in the mud. Remember a coon does not salivate very much so they have to wet their food before swallowing it. Also look for teeny-tiny cat-like prints.

One of our neighbors grew up in southern Ok years ago and said he trapped a lot of Mink and weasel but I don't know what area he was in.

I have 4 hens & 2 roosters that are supposedly golden salmon marans. They lay dark brown eggs, but the birds are darker than the pictures of golden salmon that I've seen on the internet. My birds came from eggs I bought at the Harrah auction last year from a nice man named Troy.

Gerald's plasticulture garden is about the only thing green at our place lately. He's got so many veggies that he has to get the pickup truck out there when he picks them to haul them back to the house. My living room & kitchen is full of zucchini and cucumbers.

All our grass & weeds have turned a toasty brown. Surely this rain will get the grass growing again though, and hopefully fill in all the cracks in the ground.
